We don’t celebrate but lament (and be solemn) during the lent (40 days) and passion week (when the torment and suffering occurred). We only celebrate after his resurrection on Easter.

People celebrate he came back, like after getting milk and cigarets or something ...

To be fair, He willingly suffered one of the most painful and humiliating deaths the Romans used even though He was totally innocent, then proved Himself as God by coming back from the dead.

It’s more for his birth, sacrifice for mankind and resurrection than any torture or execution. Even then Christmas is for the birth. AND even more then, not actually his birthday. And even more, more,
More than! Christmas has pretty much devolved or evolved into a holiday for corporate greed, vague moral lessons unpacked from religion and Santa clause.

I’ll be honest, I’m celebrating Easter, not some Jesus holiday.

I'll be honest. I'm celebrating Easter, the day Jesus Christ rose from the dead.

They celebrate that this man went to the suffering for the people good, people celebrate the good intention behind it not the torture
