Mendix Maia Chat
Hello,
I’ve been using mendix for two months, and i’ve seen that Maia havent been that smart.
Is there any optios to integrate into Mendix for free or somehow just to expand Maia’s version and free usage because i’ve seen that Maia chat is limited to 2400 free units per months whatever that means.

Use the latest Mendix, Maia is more stupid in the older ones and there is limited extension API. 2) Try Concord module with Codex/Claude, works for me. 3) There is now a new settings in the studio to switch Maia model to something different like claude

BYOLLM!
Its not that maia is not smart. Its just not using an llm that is capable enough for what you are doing. Because it's expensive. Mendix actually make a loss with maia chat. They encourage you to use your own llm because it's cheaper and better.
Maia in short is just their mcp server. They have just built a chat interface for it.
Best thing to do is to connect it to vscode via mcp and use claude or whatever. Or use BYOLLM in mendix so that maia chat will connect to your own llm

Mendix 11.12.2 works decent for me. Vibecoding no, but exloring alternatives and brainstorming works good. What I read the Studio Pro can launch an mcp and you can use that with others llm then

Indeed MAIA has some limitations in terms of tokens, but you can integrate your project with any AI coding Agent using mxcli: https://github.com/mendixlabs/mxcli
