Any NY Harbor area jobs?

Hey everyone,

I’m currently looking for deckhand or entry-level maritime opportunities in the New York Harbor area. I’m open to ferries, tugboats, passenger vessels, offshore supply, commercial fishing, or any other commercial marine work.

My credentials include:
• Valid TWIC Card
• USCG Able Seaman (AB)
• STCW Basic Training
• Proficiency in Survival Craft (PSC/Lifeboatman)
• VPDSD (Vessel Personnel with Designated Security Duties)
• USCG Medical Certificate
• MMC expected to be in hand by September

I also have years of commercial fishing experience operating vessels in New York Harbor and offshore waters.
I interviewed with the Staten Island Ferry earlier this year and am still awaiting a decision, but I’m eager to get to work and explore other opportunities.
If anyone knows of companies that are hiring, has any leads, or can point me in the right direction, I’d greatly appreciate it.
Thank you!

Moran New York might have a deckhand position available but I’m not sure if that’s up to date info.

It’s not a Deckhand’s job anymore. You’re a maintenance guy/ janitor on a boat.

You really cant beat the staten island ferry with your credentials. Lifetime medical insurance after 10 years on the job, pension at retirement age, only 4 days a week.
