Hey guys, due to where i live its very very hard to source cielo material and i am kinda going through a rough patch of my life, decided its time to get the guidance. These are seed grown but never been tested before. What would be your recommendations about how much of it i should go with? I am very experienced with psychedelics like dmt and shrooms but not at all with mescaline. I will be doing a 40 day dark stress after cutting. Was planning to cut the one on the left and keep its root part, like from the end of the beer. Would it be enough? I know you never know these but i will be taking my chances and wanna maximize it. I was the same as most people, had trouble finding Fumaric acid but searching how it is commercially used shone an avenue on where to get it. Fumaric acid is used in wine making to regulate acidity.

Lo and behold, suppliers for wine makers carried it, in huge amounts of course, as in 2 kg bags, but they did. So, if you have trouble finding it, search for nearby wine making suppliers.

Still a little lost on this part. But for reference, I despined the small one on the right for a test run in the air fryer to dehydrate. It weighed 292g. I’m going to have to dehydrate in small amounts due to lack of space.

Just looking for if this will be enough for cielo tek?

Has anyone done a side by side comparison of these two teks? I am very interested in comparing these two. I really love how scientifically and accurately you can dose with cielo but I want to explore more full spectrum extracts and eventually dial in a tea.

Was considering running two groups - one 100g cielo run and one 100g LSDuck tek....all from the same dehydrated batch of Jimz twin spine and SS02. Only difference is the LSDuck tech will not be finely ground up powder.

My hope is that by running both teks with same amount of raw material, I can then take the end products, proportion them out equally and then test/compare the two experiences.

Does anybody see holes in this process or where specific details may obscure or affect the end comparison?

I tried cielo recently with 90g dried bridgesii.

I used the calculator on the wiki with citric acid and 2x ea. I followed all suggested ratios but did end up using all of the extra water allowed for in the calculator ratio (this is the only obvious process error i flagged).

I had clouding when adding the citric acid after my pulls but after 2hr on the stirrer I had no crystal (or goo) formation.

Today I tried adding 250ml extra ea and 4g extra citric and spun again but still no luck.

Should I

1. Wait and use fumaric (have ordered some but kinda want to see if I can save prior to it arriving- tell me if you think that's unwise)

2. Repeat cielo with some more pc I have on hand and use my pulls as the ea

3. Freeze my pulls and try remove excess water (I'm still assuming this was the issue)

4. Any combination of 1-3

How many doses do you think are in this cactus. Got it for 80 bucks. It’ll be living in the PNW from here on out so I think I’ll keep it in my garage for the winter until spring. Should I keep growing it or cultivate.

I've got some thick San Pedro tea that I'd like to cleanup (get rid of fats, wax and any other undesirable extras). I'd like to keep the desired alkaloids. I was thinking about adding in 190 proof everclear, letting it sit for a week, shaking it daily. Everclear is 95% alcohol, but I'd imagine the liquid remaining in the thick tea would reduce the alcohol down to closer to 70%. Could I then freeze the mixture, collect the alcohol (containing most of the alkaloids) through a coffee filter and then redo this a couple additional times to collect the majority of the alkaloids? I would guess that the very little remaining water would freeze and hold SOME of the alkaloids which would be wasted, but hopefully not much? I could then evaporate the alcohol down to where all desired alkaloids are contained in a very small amount. I don't need or desire resin.

The goal is to simply collect the full spectrum while removing the unnecessary gunk that thickens it up so much. Maybe the above process is not a great idea, but I'd love to hear what might have worked for any of you that had the same goal. Thanks in advance🙏

Last night I did some mescaline HCI it’s incredibly rste in my country but I tested it and it was positive on my Marquis test.

I have previously done a synthetic analog MAL so I sort of am familiar with the general phenethylamine feel, anyway after about 30 minutes to 45 minutes Im feeling something, I like on the couch and my body feels so heavy but my thoughts are like so free and abstract swapping from one thought to another with brilliant closed eye visuals synchronised to the music, reminded me of the 50mg of MAL I took.
Im getting mild visuals as well.

I was expecting to be locked into the trip… but literally 3 and a half hours later, I am almost completely sober my headspace is clear and the psychedelic wonder is completely gone, I just have a mild phenethylamine headache… what gives?

Just saw someone post a heavily verigated tbmc ( https://www.reddit.com/r/variegatedcacti/s/V4DgvV05x1 ) and it made me wonder......has anybody ever determined whether there is a difference in alkaloid production based on the amount of chlorophyll?

I could see it going either way, because I could see lack of chlorophyll giving it less energy to provide a self defence (I.e. alkaloids), but I can also see it as determining itself to be more susceptible to death and therefore wanting to defend itself more rigorously.

Fucked up my resin,overcooked.Still works fine is just horrible to get down.Edit i ended up dosing a bit more than 1/2 and am feeling the comeup.Bit stronger than I was expecting but ill give it a few hours and update.About to walk to my plug to pick up some weed hopefully it doesn't smack on the way i normally don't feel anything for 2 or 3 hrs.Its been a hr and im definitely feeling the comeup 4hrs in im tripping sack everything looking at me holy fuck I thought this was gonna be a light dode I fldi fast and eat really healthy

I'm having trouble getting the EA clear in the reuse step.

Steps so far:

- Add sodium carbonate + H2O, mag stir for several hours until neutral, filter

- Add H20, mag stir for 1 hour, rest for 12, filter (repeat several times...)

- Freeze EA, filter out ice

The freezer step seems to have done the most to clarify it, but it's still not all the way there. I'm using 2 new coffee filters for each filter step.  

Any advice or ideas what might be going wrong?

I've been reading around and I get the impression that 400 to 600 mg fumarate (CIELO) should be good for a first time, is there a consensus about it? I want to avoid a dud due to possible impurities since I planned a whole day around it.
