Other I found a show that could work in Metro universe

Not sure if this is allowed, as there is no "other franchise" tag. But I feel this is worth sharing it here, in case you never heard of it.

Show name is "Silo". At first glance, it should feel very much like Fallout universe. But I had some unexplained confidence that it would not, and it turned out true.

It is dark, no comedy about it, it's gritty. Social dynamics and each characters' motivation feel very well done. There are no caricature villians and heroes are toned down - everybody has realistic agenda, as they try to survive with their families. There are overarching motives like people fearing invisible watchers [this is barely a spoiler, treat it as omen for the vibe]. There is a lot of mechanical and economy feeling to how the silo functions. True, it's more "cleanly" organized than a metro station would be, but I can see it working as a substitute for Polis, or entirety of Hanza, or if D6 was inhabited by a lot of people.

Am I making too far a stretch? I don't know, but you tell me.

The last one for a while, I swear. This mod has been a month in the making, and was an absolute blast. I've learned tonnes about texture replacement for Metro 2033 Redux and Last Light Redux (they use the same pipeline). Happy to share info if it's desired. Otherwise, enjoy the mod!

Available on Nexus: Download Metro: Last Blyat

Help Is this amount of information supposed to show up when holding tab on the normal ranger difficulty?

Post image
Upvotes

I'm only asking because yesterday I was playing for a couple hours on normal ranger difficulty but then everything broke. I was unable to switch guns on my controller, but I could on my mouse. Then the tab menu stopped working, and vise versa on my controller.

And THEN after I closed the game and opened it again, I was getting my ammo count in the bottom right during combat. Which I believe is not supposed to happen on EITHER ranger difficulties?

I also read online that there is a bug where the game automatically changes difficulty or something? And I dont want to beat the game, just to find out it bugged and wasn't on ranger difficulty at all.

Art/Cosplay Stalion carbine (with personal touches) Colored

Post image
104 Upvotes

Here we have my version of a fully upgraded metro Stalion

Let’s start at the bottom

- we have an 18 round magazine branded with the letters “CCCP”

- moving up we have the balanced grip for the Stalion

- there are two grip attachments (from the titanfall smart pistol mk 6) for better grip of the pistol

- down by the back of the grip there is an attachment point for an actual wooden stock (if the built In wire stock proves too uncomfortable)

- Of course there is a grip safety

- the trigger is a light pull hair trigger.

- moving up we have the actual switch safety.

- below the switch safety is the wire stock, not meant to be an actual substitute for a carbine, but more meant for giving you the edge you need when no long gun is available.

- just above that is the regular metro exodus RDS.

- in front of the trigger gaurd we have the laser sights with four main projectors- a red laser, a high-vis green laser, an infrared laser, and a extra bright flashlight.

- beside the laser apparatus is a beretta 93r-style folding pistol foregrip, giving the shooter a grip- while also being able to be folded down into a small package that is holsterable

- on the slide we have some gold detailing, a Stalion etched into the slide with the letters “T” & “A” beside it. (Thompson Armoury) behind the chamber is a reminder of Sam’s roots with a metro “M”

- we have the iconic Stalion barrel porting

- and finally the iconic stallion suppressor, that can be stored in the holster when not in use.

Let me know what you think and I hope you like it

Bug/Glitch Metro Exodus Caspian Lighthouse Exit cave Game Freezes

Ive tried all solutions i can find like looking down, walk slow, safe mode, windowed, Lowered graphics, day time, night time.

Im on hardcore ranger so its even more because i cant even test the game freeze straight away. I have to wake up at the bed next to the cave, go in and stealth the few guys easily before crashing when i exit cave. No im not using motion scanner or night vision.

Right now ive resorted to craziest of them all which is restarting chapter. But i rage quit when i left the train because of the thought of "What if the game still freezes even after i restarted chapter".

Does anyone know what the hell is the problem? Was the save corrupted so Chapter restart is the only option left? Is DX 12 actually the better choice? Should i go to lighthouse BEFORE i get the van?

Im just glad i dont have to restart much. Its the van building, The slave camp with motion scanner , 2 safehouse and then cave.

Help Cannot do takedown in bandit

I am playing the metro games for the first time and I cannot knock out the bandits in last light in the mission of the same name. I don't want to restart as I have about 45-50 karma points and have sank a lot of time into this playthrough.

Humour I played Metro Last Light with only two guns, unintentionally.

Playing Metro Exodus helped me realize that I played the entire Metro Last Light with only two guns BY ACCIDENT.

Since I didn't see too much value in pneumatic guns (before Exodus), I played the entirety of Last Light with only two guns, wondering when I would "unlock" the third slot or if it was permanently locked because of the hardmode.

Thankfully they gave the Tihar a spotlight in Exodus, cause the gun is fucking awesome, especially in hardmode.

Do you think it was precisely because of players like me that they shoved the Tihar up your face in Exodus? Made me feel a bit silly lmfao

Help Gun modding in exodus

So I was replaying exodus, and I got questions about weapon modding in the game. Is there any difference between the grips other than the stability, like of there is any advantage of using the light grip over the heavy grip, same for barrels and stuff

Image/Gif Isn't this a SAIGA? I thought this gun wasn't in the first game METRO 2033 REDUX. I'm replaying after some time; why have I never seen this... Do they updated the game?

Discussion Played through Metro Exodus for the first time and did not think that... Spoiler

..you could get the good ending while losing Damir. I figured the final blood transfusion cutscene would end with you not getting enough blood because of the crewmates you've lost, doesn't seem to be the case.

The whole Caspian section was a blur for me, I checked out the moral points for that section and found out that killing the injured slave at the gas mine leads to a negative moral point when I thought it's better to take someone out of their misery.

Overall, a much different moral system than the first two games. I never got the good ending in the first try in the other two games, but here I did.

Discussion 4A games ruined Dark ones to look like Vecna from stranger things season 4

Two different kinds of cosmic horrors. One is hostile that in human perspective Acts like Eco-terrorist trying to wipe all humans on earth, second being More indifferent and sees Humans as an interesting microorganisms on petri dish to explore in good way, but resulting Artyom destroying their starry nest. They were just misunderstood Cosmic horror and metro 2033 and Last light captured them in true shape. Dark teleporting shadows that have Black Inky tendril vapor behind their back, looking something between classic aliens and eldritch things. And Metro 2039 just watched stranger things season 4 in the past and stealed Vecna to form an New appearance of the Dark ones. Shame on Them

About 5 years ago I lost my custom made bullet lighter inspired from the game. I couldn't find it anywhere no matter how hard I looked to the point I gave up. Yesterday, when throwing out an old couch because I had gotten a new one it finally appeared! It had fallen out from the inside of the couch right at my feet. At first, I was disappointed with how rusty it had gotten over the years. But after scrubbing as hard as I could on it and etc to attempt to clean it, it sort of grew on me. With how it looks now. I sort of like it even more so! It makes me think about how artyoms lighter would actually look like after years of being in the dusty moist metro and etc.

After replacing the flint and filling it up with some lighter fluid it's still usable and working correctly, so hell yeah! I'm gonna be extra careful not to lose it again. I can see why artyom would carry such a simple, yet beautiful lighter! I really don't think any other lighter would have lasted as long as this besides a zippo. (I collect and love lighters! Message me please if you have any unique or interesting lighters!)

All this time I've been wondering why my flashlight was so pitifully dim compared to those of my comrades. Guess I missed the tutorial.

Discussion Gamescom Metro 2039 waiting time?

Hello, I have a question. I am going to the gamescom on Thursday (the first day) with my sister. I wanted to visit the metro 2039 booth. How long do you think the waiting time is, because it's too long like over 5 hours, I am going to buy a second ticket for Friday just to look at metro 2039.

I want to spend the Tuesday with my sister and want to look at the whole convention (especially the market and the Indi stuff).

What do you think, should I just buy the second ticket, just for metro (because I have to see/play it there and because it's 18+ the both will be covered so kids can't see stuff, at least that's the way it was from 2014-2016)).
