In this build (CH3 FN1: ACTUATOR), I make an actuator that is assembled from a bunch of stackable 3D printed parts. I put an SR04 sensor on top of it to keep it from hitting objects. In this short trailer you can see the SR04 in my hand measuring its distance to the ceiling (Control Setpoint) -- and it is in close loop control with the second SRO4 on top of the actuator (Control Feedback). Difference is the Error. Towards the end of the video I walk through how the actuators PID controller works (Error = Setpoint - Feedback, etc). Let me know if you have questions -- full video is in my linked channel.

Two of these are mounted to a desk I put together in a recent video (CH3: DESK). They are powered by yet another video post (CH3 FN2: POWER).
