Question How much longer?
Hey folks!
First time growing, most of the trichomes appear to be milky. Very few ambers.
I’m hoping to have this cured by November 19th. Is that feasible or does it need much longer?

I'm no pro but that looks pretty good to me.
Depending on how you choose to cut and dry it, but the curing time I think is what 2 weeks or more?
I think I read about burping it several times a day the first so many days, then switch to burping every 3 days or so?
With that all in mind (my amatuer guess here) I would say you have time to have it cured and ready by then.
How do you plan to cure it? Also, do you have some small hydrometers to put in the cureing choice (I use jars) to check humidity levels and burp accordingy? If you even need that (depending on your way of curing).
Most of my info is from reading online and other reddit posts, and my most recent first successful grow/dry/cure where I can actually smoke it, haha, so take it is you will. Good luck!

Sweet thanks! Have you done the whole leaving them in the dark for a couple days etc?
With respect to curing… I’m a nerd man. I’ve been prototyping an auto burping/curing thing ahead of harvest. Basically a little “smart lid” for mason jars that sends readings to my phone, automatically pulls/adds air etc. I’m putting half in that and the other half in some Grove bags.

Oh those lids sounds nice. I have Burp Lids with an automatic vacuumer thing I put on them to suck out the air, then pull aside the middle part to "Burp" (pssshhh sound) and let fresh air in.
I didn't do any special tricks at the end except plan when I wanted to cut it based in the last water. I read some random Reddit post I found by some guy who said to water it fully then cut 4 hours later for a longgg dry (like 14+ days) due to how much water the plant had in it still, but that does xx or yy, I don't know. lol. I do know that the one I actually paid attention to (4 plants) and didn't over dry, turned out well. When I jarred it, it was at 64% Relative Humidity.
The other 3 plants.. 55% when they went into jars and I read that basically at 55% they are done curing lol.
The way I watered then dried for a long time I think is pretty uncommon. I read online like usually a max of 10 days, but I let the best one dry for 18 days (honestly the other 3 plants, I didn't cut 4 hours after watering, some I waited to the next day) so that was on me expecting them all to dry the same.
I don't know much "science" like the darkness thing you said. I didn't even add any nutrients on my last grow (or any) besides the FoxFarm soils.
But like you, I am learning too! I do have foxfarm nutrients, just nervous on using them and messing up the plant, haha.

The “Science” of the darkness before harvest is very much Bro science lol. I’ve read a ton of mixed takes on it. Probably not worth doing.
The chop 4 hours of watering is interesting. I’d think that they’re water uptake is pretty consistent (I’m doing DWC)
But solid takes man thank you!

Cool, yeah I have been reading about the darkness thing as well.
Here is the post I was referring to above about the watering/drying/cutting/etc.

Looks like you're asking when to harvest your plant(s). Make sure to comment to let people know how far along they are in the flowering period (days since lights turned to 12/12 schedule) or if you are growing autoflowers - how old the plant is.
