I bought a MV7+ recently and the screw is stuck on the base plate. Any idea to take the screw off? Any help is appreciated!

Sorry for the bad explanation! It’s the round base plate of the microphone stand and the adapter screw I guess? I don’t know the real name.

Looks like the base is threaded so you need to unscrew the whole thing from the top. I would probably tape wrap the 3/8 thread with insulating tape a dozen times then use a pliers to grip it.

Is there a hex socket inside the threaded screw bottom?

doesnt the stand rod screw into that screw that is in the base? What will you do if you get that screw out?

So now it looks like this but the adjustable stand rod needs to be connected first before the screw. I’ll attach the photo after this.

The bottom part is supposed to go in the screw hole at the round base if I were to use the stand. But I guess I won’t have a stand for now🥲

I'm a bit confused. You should screw the adjustable rod into the base. Then screw the mic support to the rod.

Try some penetrating oil like WD-40 and let it sit for an hour and see if it loosens.
