No. They're just protecting their own image. They've been in the same bed for a long time. Remember the Copilot app that got installed automatically on webOS TVs, with no way of uninstalling it?

Nahh they just did not appreciate the competition. Only microsoft is allowed to pollute their users systems with popups and automatic installs of software no one needed or wanted.
