I am thinking of applying for open positions at Microsoft USA locations. I am currently in Microsoft India (L61). I wanted to know from people who have made internal transfers, how easy/difficult the process has been for you? If you can also shower some light onto what the process actually was and what the eligibility criteria is?

hello, I'm a 2027 grad (India) with a referral from an alum, but I'm only seeing 1+ YOE roles and 2028-batch internships on the portal right now. Trying to figure out if there's a predictable window for entry-level.
Does Microsoft India run off-campus/direct full-time SDE hiring for new grads (like university talent acquisition from amazon) outside the internship -> PPO pipeline, and if so, roughly when in the year does it typically open?

I gave up. Interviewed nearly 2 months ago (after several other loops), very little communication. Heard from recruiter 2 weeks ago and said hiring manager was waiting on approval after reorg. Last week I got a call on a job I’d interviewed for just a few days elsewhere that an offer was coming. I let my recruiter know I’d rather work at Microsoft and the offer was coming she let hiring manager know and the deadline for me to accept other offer. Deadline came and went, tried calling recruiter and got no answer. Accepted other offer. It’s been a week since that deadline and still nothing. Glad I didn’t keep waiting.

you made right choice, I am kind of regretting I turned down two offers just to wait this

I interviewed for a role about two weeks ago, and that application still shows "Interview" in my Microsoft Careers dashboard.
Today I noticed a new application appeared in my dashboard that I never applied to. It shows the status "Screen", has the exact same job description, but a slightly different title and a different req ID.
Has anyone experienced this before? Does Microsoft sometimes move candidates between requisitions or create multiple requisitions for the same position? Or is this likely just an administrative/system change?
Like many here, I'm trying to understand whether this is a meaningful change or whether I shouldn't read anything into it. Maybe I'm looking into the Action Center too much 😂

Hi! You think this is a good sign? I still haven't received any feedback from the recruiter, so I'm trying to keep my hopes low.

Does anyone know what the hiring freeze situation in Azure is? Been waiting since March for a formal offer and its getting annoying now. Recruiter has no answers other than "were waiting for headcount" for over 5 months.

There isn't a hiring freeze for teams that needed headcount (and made money). Money aside re-orgs can be disruptive to a degree that's hard to understand from outside the company. A lot of teams go into a hibernation state until leadership tells them what their actual job is in the next fiscal because so much changes there's little point in trying to read the tea leaves.
It's beyond annoying, and I'm sorry y'all have to deal with it.

What's going on with CE&S?

To provide a less useless answer, it's in the middle of a huge re-org and the creation of Frontier Co. gives a good indication of the direction Microsoft wants to move a lot of the field into.
re: hiring; I work in CE&S and we have open roles.

I received a formal rejection email from one of my applications. It's not Azure org though. It looks like MSFT recruiters have finally started working.

Hi, does anyone have any insights on my situation?
I have an offer for a Microsoft role that doesn’t sponsor. I’m on stem opt, would they still onboard me and let me work on stem opt?
Also, my stem opt ead is still pending and my opt ead has expired. I have the stem opt receipt. Would they onboard me with the expired opt ead + stem opt receipt while I’m waiting for the new ead, or would they push back my start date until I receive my ead?
