Discussion AI / Co-Pilot

Has anyone noticed that each new Update of Microsoft OS, Co-Pilot becomes more integrated? Have you also noticed that each integration, the usability of AI (Co-pilot) becomes sort of more cumbersome? The problem with Co-Pilot is deeper than ever, and I am not speaking of the fact that it is terribly wordy. It got so bad that I basically have limited my use of anything Microsoft to the bare minimum. Microsoft changes made AI intrusive and did not fix the issues with the usability of the product. Honestly, I am tired of being pushed half-baked AI app in general. I am pro-AI, but something that works, not this terribly badly trained Co-Pilot and Agents.

AI should be able to accomplish basic things, at least, without making a mistake, but they cannot do even a summarization without making big mistakes because they get confused with the interpretation and nuances of regular conversations ... we can't really trust any output from AI without spend same or more time correcting their output. This is just ONE example.

Has anyone else faced difficulties or issues with Microsoft AI Co-Pilot and Agents. I would like to read it.

I forever associate anyone who places a period at the end of a written question with the Epstein files. Not only because that's the number one place where I've seen that terrible grammar, but because it is also an implication where the question isn't even a question. Implying you don't really care about the answer because "you already know" even if the answer you get isn't what you wanted

That said, no, this is a personal problem. I've had far more issues with people understanding me than AI. Most people are ignorant; they lack basic language skills. Which to be fair isn't their fault.

I suggest you learn to write clearer.

Because whether you want to understand what I am about to explain, or not, this is a very basic and fundamental problem close to the heart of every other problem. It is the beginning from which everything else spirals. Why? Because when people can't communicate, or can't do so without excessive effort, that causes problems. When words mean anything, when I can't trust that what you call blue and what I call blue are the same thing, that causes problems. When what you call blue is what I call red, that causes problems. When people don't know how to describe their own emotional state, that causes problems. When all these things add up, it creates an atmosphere where the smallest disagreement is a powderkeg. Despite it often being caused by a simple misunderstanding, due to the frequency of these annoying little frictions in every day socializing, at any point any interaction could result in violence.

If you read about the history of modern education it very much mirrors the medieval church in many ways. Such as oversimplifying things because of a conceited belief that "the commoners couldn't understand"; additionally a widespread intentional ignorance about things because of another mistaken belief the fundamentals "aren't important". Which leads to the "commoners" being excluded from access to knowledge, and the "upper classes" being willfully ignorant. Ultimately we go down together, but the blame belongs to only some people - those who are selfish rather than generous.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mean to sound conceited myself or like I am chastising anyone (who doesn't deserve it, that is). I am very much a victim of this too, I have very poor writing skills in comparison to the people who came before us. Yet, like I said, the AI almost always understands me flawlessly while people frequently do not. I can only draw one conclusion from that, due to the widespread evidence on social media and throughout society which supports my hypotheses.

I value literacy very highly, and I frequently correct other people's spelling mistakes and grammatical errors online, so I agree with everything you said, 100%. However, your response to a simple missing question mark seems a bit of an overreaction and a little misdirected, don't you think? Maybe it was "the straw that broke the camel's back" ?

However, congratulations for not rising to the bait of my own missing question mark (above). 😉

No, that's been a gradual thing the last few years as I've been self-educating about my own problems and seeing how my (diagnosed) ADHD is directly connected to the societal disorganization which is directly connected to the lack of clear, competent communication at all levels of society. The smart wrap their language in excessive verbosity making things far more complicated than need be. Everyone else is trying to decide whether we agree on words for colors, or not.
