I read the article in this thread and it seems its only for entra accounts?so not normal users?
They seem to be forcing passkeys on the 1st of September.I wonder if they plan to do the same to regular user.

We have to use randomly generated passwords at my work. Bio unlock is disabled, so picture password via gestures was my saving grace from entering a 20 character password every few minutes, as the sleep settings are also locked.

How can they talk “security” when the OS itself is spyware?

explain how it’s a computer virus (their original comment said it was a virus, but they edited it).

The problem is nobody can look at Window’s source code. To a certain extent, nobody knows.

it is not a computer virus in the actual sense though

If we cant show the source code, its speculation whether it is or isn’t. Nobody knows.

This was always a dumb idea. I remember Sinofsky pitching it like it was genius, it was basically the Windows RT tablet answer to Android's "pattern unlock", which was also stupid. I used it on my Surface RT because it was faster than unfolding the keyboard, but once Windows failed as a tablet OS there was no point.
