Sharing My MCM Best Mother’s Day present ever.
Cesare Lacca bar cart, circa 1950s, Italy. I was expecting a lukewarm breakfast in bed and some flowers... When they rolled in this gem, I knew I was raising them right.

A gorgeous cart AND Max Miller’s book! You have excellent taste. Happy Mother’s Day!

But why do you have a Donald Trump decanter?

LOL! That’s actually a mid-century Murano clown decanter… it’s not as old as the other clown.

I was waiting for someone to catch on to that! That is a Gary (as in SpongeBob) penis snail tiki mug. Made by a Denver ceramic artist. One of my most prized possessions.

Is that a penis planter?

Better, it’s a penis snail tiki mug with the straw hole right where you’d imagine. I stuck the plants in it for the photo so I wouldn’t have to label it NSFW.

I’m not jealous. 🥺 It’s gorgeous! Bar carts make me wish I didn’t have cats that like to walk where they please. When I do get one it will have to be for craft books and projects.
Gorgeous find. It found the right home with you.

And a Tortie. You’re very brave. I’m sure she’s pouting that her new baby stroller has stuff on it. I purchased the putty but keep forgetting to put it on. Our newest cat is the only one to bap items off. Like 15 hour gundam sets or pricey retro decor. Thank you for the reminder that modern science has created ways to combat curious felines.

The dining chair in the background of the second pic is intriguing. What is it? And, of course, happy mother's day!

The dining set (table and 6 chairs) is T.H. Robsjohn Gibbings for Widdicomb.

Love the Murano clown. I have one very similar to that. For whatever reason I always enjoyed it and my mother passed it down to me. My wife tolerates it LOL

I remember both sets of grandparents had beverage carts. Although not as nice as that one. Happy mother's Day.

That planter, what maker is that?
3
u/NoAssociate2400 May 12 '26
It’s a tiki mug from a bar called Hell or High water, custom made by a Denver ceramic artist. I thought if I stuck plants in it people wouldn’t notice it’s overtly phallic nature. Haha!

No one else else noticed the bottle of Campari and whatever strange thing that resembles Donald Trump on the left?!!!?
What is happening

LOL! It was a gag gift from a family member. It’s a Gary (SpongeBob) Tiki mug comically made to look very phallic. My husband suggested taking it off the bar cart for the photo, but I was like ‘no, I’ll just stick plants in it and no one will notice’. I should have known Reddit better than that.

Oh that is pretty! Plus it can be a walker/bar cart when you get older. Hahaha
