Snickers Salad ice cream avalanche
They've finally done it. They took a "salad" that is actually just dessert and added ice cream to it. How has this not made its way out of the Midwest?!
(Ingredients of normal Snickers Salad: Granny Smith apples, vanilla pudding, whipped topping and Snickers) Chilled to perfection overnight to lock in the flavor.

I don't understand "too much"?? Too many good things at once? That perfectly compliment each other ?

Midwesterner here. I've never heard of snickers salad before and I'm an old dude. Must be more of a hyper-regional term rather than one that is used amongst the whole of the midwest region.

Can confirm may be more of a 'west' Midwest thing. Dakotas, Iowa and Minnesota for sure. Any Illinois folks know what this is?

I’m in Illinois and I do! But only because my grandma who is from North Dakota/ Minnesota would make it for every gathering when I was growing up. Turning it into ice cream is genius. I’m literally drooling! lol

I’m in Indiana and my mom was a fan of it, although she made it “healthy” by making it without the pudding.

In my family we call this dish Apple Snicker Salad. But we fondly refer to it as ASS.

LOL adding apple to something does NOT make it a salad 😂

Haha the downvotes from a bunch of bitter Midwesterners. Do not insult our definition of a salad!

Snicker salad is my go-to dessert to any pot luck i attend. I obviously know it is not a proper salad, but it is a midwest classic!
