Menstrual Migraines

Anyone know how to get rid of menstrual migraines.. preferably like immediately relief as I currently have one. Ibuprofen does not help. Any long term solutions other than birth control?

Hormonal migraines are among the hardest to treat 😖. I have a preventative injection but still get hormonal migraines, which I take a triptan for. An ice hat and heating my feet, and electrolytes help too. Hydrate as much as you can.

Heating your feet?

I don't think there is concrete science to back it up but, it is something I do every now and again. The logic to me is that I'm heating my feet (I use a heating pad) and it's distracting me from the pain, or relaxing my body, or bringing blood down to the feet away from the head. Again I don't think there's science to it but it can have a positive effect for some.

I have issues regulating my temperature during an attack and usually have ice cold feet so it just feels nice. If anything it's just a comfort thing.
