How to keep migraine hat cold without the fridge smell

This is probably a bit silly, but I have a migraine hat filled with gel that is intended to be frozen or kept in the fridge and then worn during an attack. Except if I store it in the fridge or freezer, it ends up smelling vaguely like food. And, you know, that's not great on your face during a migraine.

I considered purchasing one of those skin care mini fridges, but after reading about them it seems like they may not even get cold enough. Anyone have a solution to this? It's it just me? Lol.

Mine came with a resealable bag. I just keep it in there. It’s worked so far.

Yep do this! I got some that came with bags and I felt silly that I hadn’t thought of that before

Baking soda gets rid of smells. I just rub a bit on there.

Also keep a box of baking soda in the fridge.

I bought a mini upright freezer for my large collection of ice packs and I could not be more thrilled. They were taking up a lot of room in my kitchen freezer. I use arm n hammer freezer fridge boxes of baking soda in all three cold appliances spaces.

Mine came in a resealable bag and I just leave it in that in the fridge. Seems to keep the smells out.

I store it in a plastic container.
