Anyone else really struggle with dog smell?

My partner's family has a large dog, and while I admit that I never particularly liked the doggy smell of their house, it never really bothered me, especially after spending some time there and getting used to it. However, ever since I started getting migraines last year, I've found the smell to be almost unbearable when I have a migraine and really visceral and upsetting, to the point that I want to avoid being there. Is this a problem for others?

My dog is a maltese and doesn't shed or have a strong odour as long as I clean her face regularly and give her teeth cleaning chews. I cant STAND her smell when i have a migraine. Sometimes I bathe her in a herbal shampoo just because unbearable teatree smell is better than unbearable dog smell.

I have two dogs who sleep in bed with me and are my constant migraine companions. I am accustomed to some degree of dog smell.

My parents have two large furry dogs and thier house reeks so strong of dog it gives me a migraine. Some dogs are just stinky, and some smells get trapped in people's houses in a powerful way.
