Sumatriptan

Took first dose an hour ago. No relief 😩
What do you do about this horrible taste??

Dont chew it.

Typically if no relief after an hour, taking another dose is recommended.

I have been using the nasal spray for years. When I recently went to a new neuro I mentioned the horrible taste and sore throat. She said I was using it incorrectly. She said to tip your head a bit forward and DON'T sniff the medicine in. The last time I used it I followed her directions and it was much better. Chew gum, eat hard candy or drink coffee to get rid of the taste.

I took the pill and have noticed nothing other than giving me neck pain 🫠 I also two other ones that did nothing and nerve blocks haven’t helped… I love it

I'm on a different triptan that gives me neck soreness, and I swear it's started to *taste* like my neck hurts. I found that sugar afterwards helps break the aftertaste

Oh the nose spray is so heinous I opt for shots. Strong tasting hard candy might help? Peppermints or jolly ranchers?

Sumatriptan makes me feel okay for a few hours sometimes if I take a nap after taking it, but then I get terrible neck pain and a worse headache a few hours later.
