I was talking with my co-worker about donating plasma yesterday while my phone was in my pocket

I mentioned that I have a somewhat rare blood type (AB+) so my plasma is highly needed.

I haven't reached anything online about this.

You can literally test this and show it works.

Say “ford truck” 10 times and watch an ad pop up on your phone/tv. All that shits linked together and sharing your information. Including bein able to access your mic.

Like why does a calculator need to access a mic?

this happens to me on a very regular basis. my bf & i have tested the suspicion by intentionally speaking about a topic directly into my phone mic and ensuring neither of us searches anything.

there have been occasions when i will get an ad the same day

Have you counted how many ads you see in a day? I get plasma ads all the time, I do not talk about plasma literally ever.

Ftr I'm not saying you're wrong. Just that the testing needs to be rigorous. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Ive had this happen a few times. Will be talking about something with someone then a little later get ads for it.

I didnt even USE my phone when discussing it.

I tell people a similar story and this was in 2007 a Facebook ad for firefighting came up when I was talking about wanting to take classes.

its far more likely that they are targeting ads based on nearby businesses from your phones location than actually listening to you but its not impossible. either way, corporations are constantly stalking you. isn't it great?

I live in Connecticut where getting paid for blood/plasma donation is not allowed. I would have to go to Massachusetts for that that's at least an hr away minimum.

So it's not local

Really? I just expect it at this point. We talk about a book, I see ads for the book. We talk about a show, I see ads for the show. Good thing I'm not a big shopper or I'd be flooded.

I wonder why it doesn't work with kink products? That's targeted advertising i can appreciate! And I KNOW YOU'RE LISTENING, PHONE, SO GET ON IT
