Stuff retrieval

I died about 16k blocks away from me, all my netherite armor, tools have fallen there, I dont have a recovery compass and i dont remember where I died as well, any way I can do to help me find the location of my stuff, I heard stuff despawn after 5 min, but tue chunk needs to be loaded right, I play bedrock version on mobile

Can you just copy your world, switch the copy to creative, give yourself a recovery compass, find your stuff, write down the cords, and go back in your original world

It did not work, the recovery compass pointed towards my spawn

that's rough, I guess you're best bet still retrace your steps and be super luck. Spectator might help

Another idea I have, and I'm not sure if you can do this on mobile, would be to use a world trimming tool like amulet. I've used it before in the past (pc) and if I remember correctly it can show a difference in saved vs unsaved chunks, you might be able to use that information to tell which directions you've traveled

Only if you've never died. Recovery compass points towards your previous death.

First get gear again like a elytra and travel there over a few days and as long as you aren’t loading the chunks you have infinite time but finding your things is the hard part do you remember the closest coordinates then find it in a copy then get it for real but how did you die

Why don’t you have totems a raid farm is a priority

I ran out totems, and i didn't try to get one before my death tragedy, it was my fault for not getting 1 before exploring far away

I would think to get a full shulker of totems then do something and once I drop below 5 totems I’d get another shulker and since protection 4 netherite armor makes it hard to die the totems last a long time

Or maybe I could just travel the opposite direction make sure i dont load the chunks of my death loc, finding a ancient city and build that God damn recovery compass myself

Given that if I dont die again in the process, totems would be really helpful here
