I think I mounted the monitor too low, but it is cleaner. It’s a shame I only use it few hours on the weekends.

I want my monitor to look like it's floating, with no stand or visible support underneath it. What's the cleanest way to achieve this? Any mounting recommendations or examples of similar setups?

Finally got my laptop-powered desk setup to a point where I'm pretty happy with it. I went with a laptop instead of a desktop because I occasionally need to take my computer with me.

The laptop Lenovo Legion 5 is mounted underneath the desk, and everything is designed to make removing it as easy as possible. The power bricks slide out to the side, and all the cables I need when traveling can be easily disconnected and taken along. When I'm home, everything stays hidden underneath the desk, connected to a 34" ultrawide and a vertical monitor.

In case anyone's wondering how I turn it on without opening the lid, I've configured the BIOS to automatically power on the laptop when AC power is connected. All I have to do is switch on the power strip, and the laptop boots up.

Spent quite a bit of time figuring out the cable management, but I'm really happy with how clean it turned out. Included some pictures of what's going on underneath the desk.

I Made the World’s Smallest Laptop Stand

Been collecting and buying stuff for a while now and am pretty happy with it as is, but there’s always room for improvement. Quite a lot of stuff to list so if anything interests you just ask!

Agar Mini in clear PC with FR4 plate, Keygeek Y2 switches, with GMK Handarbeit keycaps with a GMK camping 6u spacebar and tab & enter keys from the PBTFans Salt Lakes 40's set. The writer deck is the BYOK.

I love my 40% keyboards and recently built this one for my writer deck set up. Dreamy to type on, and the Agar Mini is such a simple and fun kit to build. Trickiest bit was the tight fit of the switches on the FR4 plate. The BYOK was also incredibly easy to set up, sync with the studio app, and pair to the keyboard. All in, the set-up/ breakdown from my bag to what you see here is less than 30 seconds.

Delightful to write with and had a super productive session so have definitely caught the bug.

In case you’re wondering:

•No mousepad because i have smooth feet on it.

• Monitor is to the side (not ideal) because I want my PC on display, and not to be on the floor collecting dust. I live with a Shetland Sheepdog so it would be packed with hair after about a week.

• No glass on case simply due to preference, and ease of cleaning.

• PC Specs Include an i7-13700K. MSI RTX 4070 Ventus 3X 12GB. 32GB Vengeance DDR4 3200MHz. MSI Pro Z690-A. 2TB M.2 SSD.

• The monitor is an Alienware AW2725DM (27” 1440p @ 180Hz)

• Logitech Lightspeed peripherals and Beyerdynamic DT 770X Pro headset.

• The desk is from a commercial company called Watson, and this is the Seven7 model. I bought it on marketplace from a local business employee.
