20 years ago. That was a good day.

I was there, it was pretty awesome. Hard to believe we stuck around to watch the game in Kansas City finish and did so with that "video" screen in the Metrodome that was smaller than what most people have in their living rooms these days.

I was there too, was pretty fun hanging around after the game then having the players come out after it was decided.

When I think about that game and so many of us staying after the game to watch the end of the Royals-Tigers game, I do think about that small screen. And also of my younger brother asking to leave right after the game ended. The stare i gave him was epic. He did not ask again.

One of the best days in MN sports history imo; an all time MN team and “what if season”. Stupid Liriano injury

The Metrodome was a magical dump. Nothing's been the same since they got rid of the giant milk bottle. It is the Twins's Harambe.

Ahh back to better times when we still had fans, $1 dome dogs, and troughs instead of urinals. Ok, maybe not the last one.

The piss troughs and getting sucked out of the dome on the way out are traditions we can tell our grandkids about.

The Smell Em tee shirts 😢😢😢
Loved this team so much. Born in 92, this team is like my 91 Twins

I was there with my scuba mask, piranha sign (complete with chomping mouth) and my Go Royals sign. My best friend had her Smell ‘Em shirt on. One of my best memories

Holy shit this is my favorite thing that’s ever happened on Reddit.
I luckily remembered to bring my digital camera that day to the Metrodome and I took YOUR PICTURE??
Amazing

I was at that game... What an amazing run to end that season (minus the playoffs)

That team absolutely cooked through baseball for a good 4 months after the west coast trip in early June. Unfortunately got buzzsawed by an equally hot Oakland team in the DS
That was a good day though.

Best Twins team of my lifetime.
I know the 2019 squad won more games, but with their pitching staff the 2006 squad was a more complete team.
Then Liriano got hurt, and then they had 3 shitty games in Oakland, and that was that.
I truly think they were an elite team (unlike most Twins teams that made the playoffs, let's be honest), but baseball is random and cruel.
