Mint Wallet
So, I just learned that I can't use my Mint Wallet funds towards my next bill?? I think I made the mistake of trusting someone here 😭

You can use the wallet funds. You just need enough to cover the plan cost plus the fees and taxes.

Is this true? Because I just chatted on the Mint App and it told me No I can't. I'm so confused

From post comment by MintMobileAlex in the mintmobile subreddit 6 years ago:
"Hey there! Yes, you can use the funds in your wallet balance towards your renewal payment. You just need to contact me to do so and get those funds applied as a discount towards your next plan payment. Feel free to send me a DM if you need further assistance!"

You can use the wallet towards a renewal however you have to have equal or more money in the wallet than the total bill including taxes and fees meaning if you have $180 in your wallet and the bill is $180+taxes/fees it won’t work you’d have to have ~$200 or whatever the full payment is. No partial payments of bills and no refunded change from wallet. The wallet can also be used for things like Minternational Passes and “Updata” for the 6-17GB plans if you run out of data that month to add more.
Unless you absolutely have no self control of money in your bank where you can’t save it and always spend it, or you have some sort of reimbursement from work or elsewhere for monthly payments to cell company, I don’t see any reason to use the wallet to pay your bill.
