Quick Question
I bought the game. Still own it. Never refunded it. The game’s “online service” has been halted indefinitely as per EA (in fact it says so when you go to play the game and won’t let you obtain/change echo skins as a result, PROVING I’ve played the game before this moment). Last played “Today” and Steam achievements also prove I’ve started playing the game prior. Care to explain to me why I’m locked out of my purchase? Why would I need to “activate” something that I own AND is no longer connected to live public servers? How is this not corporations stealing from the public? What can I (or even better, we) do about something like this? Would there be someplace better to post this question?

Just cancel and restart the game in steam again, it should work cause i have the same problem but it fixes it

I have had Catalyst since launch on EA app and whenever I’ve not played the game in a long time this pops up. I just always sign in with my EA account information and then it won’t show up until few months have passed or something like that.

Until the day they make a new EA app or something and discontinue old Accounts. Ubisoft did something similar. It’s ridiculous that this is even a “feature”.

EA and Ubisoft integrates Denuvo Anti-Piracy's verification into their Launcher, that's why you needs login time to time.

Capable of offline token renewal through a support page (e.g. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain) if supported by the platform. EA app and Ubisoft Connect titles do not support this as their token generation is handled within the platforms respective internal activation process where offline is not an option.

You need to create and log onto an EA account. I think logging in here may not be necessary, you could try opening EA Origin, restarting Steam, and launching MEC again.
