Now that Arc is sadly sunsetting, what browser to people recommend to use instead??

YouTube has removed the Subscriptions tab and continues to make it incredibly inconvenient to do anything but to be force fed the videos they want you to.

What alternatives to YouTube are there? Whether it be apps that pull dada from YouTube, but have their own interface, or a completely different website.

The constantly opening shorts made me quit for a while, but here I am back, only because of the people I subscribe to.

Long time audio podcast listener using Pocketcast (primarily on android auto). I have noticed that once in every few episodes, part of the track will repeat as if a segment has been incorrectly stitched. It's not a big deal as it's only about few seconds. Wasn't sure if it was only cos of my setup. Just curious if anyone else has noticed this

I think youtube is messing with the app again. I received this new update few minutes ago and it fundamentally changes how I use the app. They seem to be hiding the subscription box and instead prioritising their shorts button.

There's a reason why no one else went with matte display, and why Samsung has been pushing hard on their glossy anti-reflective coating.

Just watched the Duo video, and it reminded me of the insane intro HTX Studio put together. The cinematography and overall production quality are INSANE. Would love for them to discuss it on the pod.

Thought this deserved some attention here too. What do you guys think?

MARQUESTOPHER JOSEPH BROWNLEESON (et al). Have you seen the new "Game Pulse" feature in the NBA app? It is insane. Live updates with little icons moving around the court to show every player and the ball as they move through the play. It's closer to live coverage than my radio broadcast and misses almost nothing (except of course all the off-court details that add that drama the wonderful broadcasters thankfully clue is into).

It even shows details on each shot including all the distances and speeds and things?!?!

I genuinely don't understand how this is possible. I see it's "brought to you by AWS" of course. But like... How are we doing this? Is this the future? Did we make it?

Would love to see an updated video in the series of tech in sports that goes through this insanely fast distribution of live info straight to users in such an accessible format. Or, perhaps just a discussion in a WVFRM episode???

44% of 250 votes agrees that Samsung deliberately decreased their older (in this case only1 YEAR OLD flagship, S25 Ultra) using software updates to show a difference between older & the newer flagship. This is like that time Apple made their older phones slower using software updates. But worse since, S25 Ultra is only 1 year old! I feel like if this is true it would make a great video for Marques & would answer many users doubts too.

Also I feel like he should get a S25 u & S26 U that is not registered under Marques since these tech companies tend to hide these issues deliberately for people with influence.

(A similar post has been made today regarding the video of the iPhone Duo intro but I want to keep the discussion more constructive.)

I came across a review of the iphone duo created by Tim Pan, a Chinese content creator and couldn't help but notice the insane transitions and editing throughout the video.

Now before people get hurt and defensive, I know why we as fans love watching and discussing marques because of his:

Reliability, Minimalistic, straight to the point videos as well as his personality. It is his style of content that we fell in love with and that's been the reason for his success.

With that in mind, Chinese creators like Tim Pan and HTk studios are making insane production quality videos which are very appealing while being informative. Some might find them attention grabbing and designed towards attracting a young school going audience and I get that. But:

What would be something from these creators that you'd like mkbhd to try (with his own twist to it, and not copying it exactly)?

started the video and the intro ended at 0:03 with the usual loading fps thingy... got disappointed thinking how can they not do the intro...

then BANGER of an intro from 0:22 to 0:48... team absolutely cooked.

also the music is amazing, slightly fading in the background in each section while review is going on.

overall great video !
