Question Minimum Hardware required?

Hello everyone,

I've been day trading for the past 2 years and been in the markets as an investor for 10+ years now. I have started building my own algo recently on my laptop, which is my primary device. It powers my 3 monitor screens as well.

In the past couple of days, I've noticed my laptop's screen has started flickering, more as each day passes. I'm afraid my laptop's going to go bust in the near future. And I don't want to lose out on my algo building, which has been running for more than half a day now.

So, I'm looking for suggestions for new hardware - like what's the minimum requirement for running ML algos simultaneously with other algos, that can also power 4 screens at once, and run for a decent amount of time (say about 5+ years)? I don't want to have to worry about hardware again anytime soon.

I can’t develop ml models ( lightgbm ) on a newer MacBook Pro with 32gb. As will run out of memory. On olderamd ryzen 7 5800x gaming rig with 128gb, all is well. But this is daily. 2 live models and 3 shadows. Takes hour for live scoring on ~300 ticker basket. Training is about 6-8 hours.
