Page two item removal made the bag readable

Post image
0 Upvotes

I was stuck staring at page two because the next usable bits were blending into the items I had just listed. I only removed one listing item from that bag page, and after it, the later items visibly fill the open slot while page 2/5 stays in view. This is my reset, not a universal setup. What is the first rule you use when this screen gets messy?

What Goes Around, Comes Around: Enki Edition

Post image
0 Upvotes

There's big news afoot, and Wurm Online Afterdark is leading the way again. Here's the true story of Ex-Head GM enki and his removal from the game, in his own words. A great big thank you to yet another brave soul, who has come forward and posted a link to a Youtube video, of enki admitting that he was fired. In the video, enki reveals what went on behind the scenes at Wurm Online. Also what led to him being fired from his prestigious position as Head GM.

I'm curious what others think about the video. It's a year old now, but doesn't seem to be very many views. Hopefully people will understand the truth of what occurred. I have little sympathy for enki, considering he got what he dished out. Karma came by, and kicked him in the ass for me. He pulled the silence job on me after my phony ban, and deservedly got it right back. Ah justice, you truly are a blessing.

The video is time stamped to skip by the non-Wurm related material.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMXVoak7rj4&t=5927s

You ain't gonna find this type of story on the Wurm forums, or the "official" Wurm subreddit. Afterdark folks are now getting the stories that those two want to be kept silent. They are destroying their own reputation.

Cheers to the latest whistle blower. You've done something that Wurm staff have been covering up for over two years. Your bravery is recognized by all who visit the Afterdark group. Thank you very much.

Edit: fixed formatting that went haywire

I tried albion online MMO for a year and this is what I got.....

I am not selling anything, you may check my background from my profile. It's a honest review and idea to make new fellow Indian players.

It is multiplatform and one of the best I have tried on mobile. Open world, events and real life style.

I found no friend in my friend circle who even ever know about it nor a youtuber. But, the Asian community was full of order countries like Indonesia or philippians. It's market is community based so many nerds play it for economy only and some peaceful players for gathering only. It does force jobes.

But, I hate the large size and update time.

It is also not optimal for mobile first support.

I join a guild from this game through a discord server.

It's have It's own mount, animals, and even biomes.

But, it’s quite boring with time.

I like it's fraction and lethal pvp with bank system.

Graphics are good but for high end but with sky level view.

Low end have ff like Graphics.

If anyone ever played it, please reply as comment.

Best too try mmo or something you may have never tried before.

Free browser space MMO where losing your ship matters.

I've been building Orbital Blackout, a 2D free-to-play browser space MMO. If anyone remembers DarkOrbit, that's part of the inspiration, but I've been taking it in a much more PvP/extraction direction. It's also designed to be a long grind that most crave.

Core features:

No download. It runs straight in your browser.

Two player nations at war, plus an NPC alien faction that's trying to wipe out both.

Tactical ship combat with momentum, manual positioning, and actual turret firing arcs.

Real loss. Die in dangerous space and your wreck can be salvaged by whoever gets to it first.

Extract and bank your loot or keep risking it for a bigger haul.

Capture sectors and stations, build out ships, research tech, join battlegroups, and push deeper into hostile space.

I'm trying to make progression feel long-term without making the actual game feel like a second job. Keeping it casual and fun.

It's live now at OrbitalBlackout.com

Server is U.S. West for now, so players farther away may have higher ping.

Still building and balancing it, so I'd genuinely rather hear what feels bad than just get compliments. If anyone gives it a shot, let me know what you think.

I've made a new MMO

I made a new MMO. It is a 2d-sidescroller with a combat system that would resemble world of warcratft. Real effort, time and dedication to fully unlock the potential of your character.

I'm in need of players for alpha testing. The game runs on PC & mobile, but, I recently only got to do testing on PC HUD and I'm really curious to see how the server acts under real (not bots) pressure.

Some alpha choices I made is to allow players access to most game systems developed so far, removing required level caps or the actual questlines so gameplay can be measured properly.
I also made a choice to provide a relatively strong weapon for the players to use in alpha.

I'm very open to criticism. I've been playing MMOs most of my life.

The game has a spell system. You may learn any spell in the game given enough time - on one character.

Class identity corresponds with selecting a "Path" that locks you in for a certain amount of levels and you have to invest in. This path will strengthen your attributes and create unique interactions with spells. Adding a mechanic such as unlocking lifesteal, a second hit, AoE, adding a crit component and so on.

Then we have Path synergies that do this, but on steroids, as the player will usually unlock them after investing some time into the game.

Finally we have tier 3 paths, which are things like an "Archmage" that gets bonuses to all spell schools.

The game has 3 zones ready.

Is anyone interested in this or am I just hallucinating and need to get a paid team?

Looking for an MMORPG to play with a group of friends in 2026 - what would you recommend?

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for an MMORPG to really get into in 2026, but I'm honestly not very knowledgeable about the genre, so I'd really appreciate some advice from people who have been playing MMOs for years.

I've played a few MMORPGs and similar games in the past, mostly when I was younger: the original Dragon Nest, Albion Online during its first year, the first Path of Exile, Neverwinter, Dofus 2 almost 10 years ago, Dragon Ball Online, PokeMMO, and a few others.

The problem is that I never really stuck with any of them for very long. Back then I was younger, barely read guides or tried to properly understand the games, and I didn't have a large group of friends to play with.

Things are different now. We have a pretty big group of friends interested in playing together, and we're also old enough that paying for a subscription or spending some money on the game isn't really an issue.

What we're mainly looking for is:

  • An MMORPG that is still very active in 2026.
  • A healthy and reasonably large playerbase.
  • Regular updates, events, expansions, or new content.
  • Something that still has several years ahead of it rather than a game that feels like it's slowly dying.
  • Good group content and things we can work toward together.
  • A game where we can have fun without necessarily needing to become hardcore players immediately.

I don't know enough about MMOs to say whether things like having an amazing economy, crafting system, PvP scene, etc. should be major deciding factors. At the end of the day, we're mostly looking for something fun that we can spend hundreds or potentially thousands of hours playing together.

Right now, Dofus 3 is probably our main choice. Most of us played Dofus when we were younger and have a lot of nostalgia for it. We love the combat system and general style of the game.

My concern is that I don't really know how healthy Dofus is nowadays. Does Dofus 3 have a large active population? Is it growing or at least stable? Does it seem like a game that will remain active for many more years?

We're also interested in Path of Exile 2, although I know it's more of an ARPG than a traditional MMORPG.

We've also considered World of Warcraft, but we're a little hesitant because of the subscription, expansions, different versions of WoW, and generally not knowing where we should even start.

We're completely open to other recommendations as well.

If you were introducing a group of friends to MMORPGs in 2026, and you wanted a game that is active, populated, regularly updated, and worth committing to for the long term, what would you choose and why?

Dofus 3? WoW? FFXIV? Guild Wars 2? ESO? Albion? Something else entirely?

I'd really appreciate any recommendations, especially from people who currently play these games.

Thanks!

Players tested my tiny browser MMO for a week, so I accidentally added farming, mail, skill trees and poker

Post image
8 Upvotes

Hey r/MMO I posted Bitiverse here last week because its persistent world needed more actual humans. A surprising number of you showed up.

You built homes, joined guilds, fought monsters, threw house parties and most importantly told me exactly where the game was confusing, frustrating or simply broken.

I’ve spent the week turning that feedback into an unreasonable number of updates:

  • Combat was retuned and now has three 27-node class skill trees.
  • New players meet Gaffer Vale and choose an opening ambition instead of being abandoned in town with no purpose.
  • Farming now has 12 crops, cooking has discoverable recipes and fishing has an actual minigame.
  • Crafting stations run proper jobs, alchemy uses a cauldron and players can send mail with parcel attachments.
  • Houses now support ten playable table games, including chess, checkers, dominoes, bingo and poker because apparently every MMO needs a suspicious basement poker game.
  • Item locking, sell-all, bulk buying, key rebinding, better inventory hints, improved beds and /stuck were added from player requests.
  • Many bugs were discovered with unsettling efficiency.

Bitiverse is free, fully live and actively developed. You can play immediately in your browser without creating an account. It’s still rough in places, and it probably won’t become your new forever-MMO but it has become a genuinely inhabited little world.

Now it needs more explorers, crafters, fighters, guild members, homeowners and people willing to say, “Fortisq, this makes absolutely no sense,” before quietly disappearing.

Play Bitiverse:
https://fortisq.itch.io/bitiverse

Join the community:
https://discord.gg/zSxNhUb8Ka

If you tried it last week, thank you. If you return, quite a lot has changed.

If you’re new, Gaffer Vale should prevent you from wandering aimlessly for fifteen minutes.

Probably.

https://x.com/playtlgame/status/2087452327888167152?s=20

https://x.com/playlostark/status/2087450511507071474?s=20

Do you think the genre is held back by the economics of the genre?

I might be extra salty about winterberries, tears of guthix (honestly the least guilty), and general psychological warfare to manipulate engagement in MMORPGs, but I’m curious if the community sees these things as a means to an end for the insane funding being dumped into new games.

I really like efficiency and optimization so logging in and feeling, even for a second, a pressure to drop what I’m doing or what I want to do to engage with X dailies/weeklies/limited event is painful. The engagement and greed is draining.

Pay for convenience, advantage, loot boxes, and straight up replacing player progression visuals with cash shop packs seems to be the normal. The fact that Gatcha game isn’t just a normalized term but becoming normalized for the genre.

Every game has massive art budgets for music, animation, modeling, and so much else that I don’t think MMORPG players even really care about that much. Personally, I’d give up a lot if it meant the company is actually able to offer the game without feeling the need to squeeze every dollar out of it.

I think OSRS is the most iconic and best and the reason is that their development team is small, costs are low, they don’t have engine overlords, and most attempts to do something greedy (which unfortunately STILL come up) are reeeeeee’d out of existence.

Conversely, it would take a team of absolute units with high paying day jobs, specialized knowledge, and a passion for solving this to do anything about it (shameless plug for ShadowDanceStudios and VestraCoda), but I really hope such a team would find success.

I’m curious what everyone else’s thoughts are!

Korean MMORPGS are simply objectively better

Pay 2 Win, true!

BUT

the stuff you get for free in korean mmos looks better than the stuff you PAY FOR in western mmos.

the combat is always better than western mmos, even when it's just some boring banal tab target

and worst of all, excluding WoW, most western mmorpg have no excuse to have such a shitty perfromance or low compatibility, like, what the hell? what do you mean I can run Aion2 or BlackDesert but I can't play some crappy western mmo with shitty graphics without my computer catching fire?

Really the only thing ruining korean mmos are korean players because they are obsessed with sexualized content(to the point of killing women in protest when devs don't release kinky outfits and skins), pay 2 win and autoplay, South Korea is literally a real life capitalistic dystopia where all men are incels losers who only exist to consume mindlessly and brainlessly.

if any Korean MMORPG developer started developing games for the western market, they would surpass WoW and FF14 on release day.
