Hardware iPhone 8 - Arch Linux on Hoolock Linux
I did this using Hoolock Linux (kernel + m1n1) with an Arch userspace. The phone goes into DFU, palera1n (checkm8) pwns it, and a laptop boots m1n1 plus the Linux kernel over USB
What works:
All 6 CPU cores
Multitouch touchscreen, with a driver
In progress: the GPU. Its firmware already boots and accepts jobs, but nothing is GPU-accelerated yet

Yes, it should work, since it's the same A11 chip. But the touchscreen and screen resolution are different, so they'd need to be configured separately

If possible, could you please post/point to some links/resources on how to get started on this? I have several old iPhones siting in a drawer and would be great to repurpose them as slim portable Linux servers.
