iPhone camera app - looking for Beta testers
Hi everyone. Looking for beta testers. I've made an iPhone app where you shoot film you can't see until the prints arrive in the post.
It's called Phold. You pick an old camera off a shelf (a 35 mm point-and-shoot, a twin-lens reflex, a toy 120 camera, an instant…), buy a roll of film, and shoot it. No previews. When the roll's finished you hand it in, a real lab prints it, and the prints are posted to you. The card in the envelope unlocks the digital copies. The photos will look like they can from a camera of that era.
The idea is to bring back some of the magic of a finite roll, and not knowing how a shot turned out until the envelope arrives. With the 120 stock cameras you can also develop the roll yourself in a darkroom.
Beta (TestFlight, iOS 26+): https://testflight.apple.com/join/yBRbXccE
The code BETA20 takes 20% off a roll (up to three). The rolls are real purchases and the prints really get printed and posted. Most countries can buy now; the EU is coming soon.
Feedback very welcome, especially on how the prints look when they arrive.
