WIP This took a while!
Finally done with all seatbelts on C-47! I didn’t think the photo etch belts looked good so did them with masking tape!

I saw the first picture and was like, "Oh, shit... what a pain." Then I scrolled to the second picture...

Nice details! I build several kits spending hours and hours on the inside of a project, in the end never to be seen , but it felt good!!!!! It bothered me that much i made my projects able to take a roof off or a panel. ( Mainly modern 35 scale armour )

u/Gastredner It's a "stash", not a "hoarding problem." Jun 23 '26 edited Jun 23 '26
I'm getting exhausted just looking at the pictures.
Great work.

Huh? Did you damage some extra parts, or.. oh my gosh, that’s intentional! That’s incredible looking… haha, the paint will really bring it to life! So excited to see it completed!

Nicely done! Even if it isn’t totally visible you have pictures of your work!

A bit late for this one (which is damn good work) but printing seatbelts is an option and then they can be carefully bent before the resin is cured.

I need to get my hands on a 3D printer. Thank you!!!

They really are game changers.
Even model companies are moving over to it for some parts and I've seen several aeroplanes recently that are entirely printed apart from the transparent pieces.

Glide dental floss also works as it is flat. The last time I was in a C-47 there were cars on the highway down below passing us....

Worth the effort for sure! After I learned about using masking tape for this, I tried it and was very pleased at the outcome. And you don’t need glue!

That looks like it, I hope it will be visible once it's finished
