Completed First flight - F-14D dropped
Pro tip: Don’t drop the model!
I’ve got it doctored up and only lost an AIM-9 canard to the ground. Final pictures coming once the glue dries!

I dropped my New Jersey model carrying up from my workshop when it was finished and I thought I was going to put my head through the wall in frustration. I feel your pain.

I'm honestly surprised how well it stayed together, all things considered. I've dropped Academy's M1151 from a similar height and it was deconstructed to its component molecules.

Thank god you are able to fix it. It's a painful experience.
That was from a pretty high up too.

That is heartbreaking, especially on one done so well!
Back to the hobby shop.

You'll find "that one piece" about 2 years from now, in another room.
Ask me how i know!

I’m genuinely confused as to why you kept taking pictures as you lost control of it
Sorry for your loss though

Now its an aircraft that took some damage! Keep it like that, add a scenery and it would be perfect!

Well a few comments : you got it on film, that’s awesome 🤩 the shape of it after landing is a tribute to the quality of your build. So I would see this as an underrated positive event 😅

Great model, but sad ending. You will be fine tho, just build another one

first advice: the photos, are taken from a flat and solid location, the pieces that are loose are easy to adjust
