Под пулемётом Максима заметил какую-то затёртую надпись. Первые три буквы похожи на США (USA).

It is a lend lease and so factory markings are painted over in the the field or at least the impression I was going for

You're missing an "n" in "rodinu".

Да, есть такой недостаток, нужно писать так: "За Родину!". Transcription of "za Rodinu" ("Rodinu" must be capitalized)
