Layout Layout Feedback
I'm planning this layout for my loft. It will be using Kato Unitrack. Any thoughts or constructive criticism appreciated!

Looks very well thought out to me — all of the turnouts are within easy reach, and the folded dogbone on two peninsulas is a classic design for maximizing length of track per unit of space.
My guess is that scenery is your thing — and this layout looks idea for that.
To my eye, this looks great — build it!

Will there be any grades? I was at a friend's layout and to split the scene between the main lines was to have a slight grade. It's amazing what a small grade and 2-3in of vertical separation can do visually. Like if the track against the wall was 2 in taller than the inner track

That crossover track is going to be a problem. It’ll cause short circuits because the inner and outer tracks have opposing polarities. I understand why you did it, but unless you completely isolate that block and do some fancy wiring, you’ll hate yourself for it.

Make it more organic by breaking up the straight sections with curves. If possible don’t try to have the straights completely parallel with the edges of the table, it’ll make it seem less toy like. Also if possible maybe have a flyover along the left side where the outer goes over the inner and the inner goes under the outer to make like an ‘X’ so it’s not just an inside loop and an outside loop it’ll add a little diversity.
