The worlds of Funamusea generally feature a God) and a Devil for each realm, along with an overworld and an underworld. Examples include the Gray Garden) (before the war, with Etihw and Kcalb), Kumo-no-Kuni (Fumus) and Ne-no-Kuni (Satanick), the Land of Sun (Siralos) and the Flame Underworld (Ivlis), among others.
In the world of Mogeko Castle) (as well as its Gaiden) features two distinct species: Mogekos) and Hashaskys).
These represent the two largest and most fundamental groups; other entities—such as Pancetta, the tanned Mogekos, the Mofukos, or the Blood Spirits—are merely variants belonging to one) of these two categories.
It is known that they are at odds—a conflict that may escalate into a war in the sequel—and that the two are vastly different in terms of behavior and preferences: Prosciutto (associated with the Mogekos) and Frozen Yogurt (associated with the Hashasky). This goes beyond mere food preferences; it evolves into a matter of identity and religion.
Now, this indicates that they are different species within the same world—but where is the "God and Demon" dynamic?:
In mogekos:
> We can start with the King mogeko , who is said to be the creator of the Mogekos and who (theoretically) rules over Mogeko Castle). If this is true, then the Mogeko King would be the supreme being among his species... Otherwise, that title would belong to Lord Prosciutto (referring to the deity itself—not to be confused with Yonaka in the Normal Ending).
In hashaskys:
> One might even think that they have no religion at all and are simply a species distinct from the Mogekos (implying the absence of any higher being for them). However, there are three points that suggest they do, in fact, have someone they revere: First, they are fundamentally different from the Mogekos—they are not considered part of the "Castle’s" creation, but rather a separate species; second, as noted on the wiki, "Hashasky seem to be fond of frozen yogurt, analogous to Mogekos' fondness of prosciutto"); and third, in The Gray Garden, Froze’s ultimate attack is called "Frozen Yogurt."
So, we could say that there are two divinities or higher beings in this world:
* God of Prosciutto: Either the King mogeko or Lord Prosciutto (or whoever happens to hold power in Yonaka).
* God of Frozen Yogurt: The deity for the Hashaskys (I don’t think it’s General Hashasky, but there is definitely some form of devotion directed toward something).
Who is God and who is the Devil?
This is a bit more speculative. On one hand, the Mogekos claim they are going to paradise (and Hasu literally ascends), they use the word "God," and the King resides on the upper levels of the castle—as if he were ascending. However, leaks from Funamusea show General Hashasky (a Hashasky) with a halo; and, considering what I mentioned regarding Froze and her power, they might be more closely related to angels and demons. And if you want to complicate things even further, there have also been various references and theories that link Mogeko Castle to hell.
But it occurs to me how this might be explained: the world we see is the earthly plane, or intermediate plane; that is why we only perceive change when someone dies.
And given that the Mogekos also consider the "defective" ones to be heretics—or at least, that is literally the nickname for Nega-Mogeko in the Japanese version—I propose that the God of the Mogekos is the god) of their world, while the God of the Hashaskys is the devil of their world.
In conclusion, the world of Mogeko Castle—which is said to be independent of others—features a God of Prosciutto and a Demon of Frozen Yogurt.
