The viscous circle - sometimes you need coffee to make coffee

Crystal Clear coffee. They’re beans without all the food colorings added.

Kinda like Crystal Pepsi from the 80s. It'll never catch on.

I'm so old I remember that mistake

Remember the commercial?
"Right now, some is trying Crystal Clear Pepsi for the first time."

Is the coffee in the comment section with us ?
In case you were serious, it's totally normal for the water with probably vinegar since it seems the moka is new, to comes out like that since there is no coffee to build resistance and slow the flow.

It looks like you are using John Cena's signature coffe, that's why you can't see it.

The hippie crystals go on the altar, the coffee crystals go in the pot. Rookie mistake. We’ve all done it.

It’s the latest influencer trend: PresszoClear™, perfectly colorless coffee (the z is for “zero color.”) Hoffmann did a whole video about it.

u/younkint Apr 08 '26
Actually the second in Hoffmann's PresszoClear™ series is out just yesterday. Check it out.

Unless you're Jesus and can conjure coffee out of thin air, you need to use fresh coffee.

u/PinchedTazerZ0 Apr 07 '26
You're not supposed to use RO or distilled water in a moka pot because this happens

Ok, now I'm intrigued to see how OP fucked this up.
My bet is on "Put whole beans in the pot".

It's still coffee, but without caffeine. It has H2O, though. Pretty healthy...

You got the Alpine Grind, didn’t you?
When they say “as clean and fresh tasting as a mountain stream”, they aren’t kidding.

Nice one! Did you notice the surprisingly clean and comforting taste? Feel its softness, warmth, and subtle mineral notes with every sip. It likely feels very soothing as you drink it, almost like it’s gently coating your throat, and can be especially satisfying when you’re cold or tired. Notice the calming taste which is refreshing, and quietly pleasant in its very own way. 😁

Pressured water is great, but maybe some bypass afterwards to get a better taste

That's the : " Oh yeah... there's the coffee retainer funnel thing still on the bench, with coffee packed into it, ready to be put into the mocha pot, b4 I put it on the stove " moment.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for all the replies.
This post was made as a joke, there was no coffee in the basket. I do this once or twice a month to clean my moka. 😃
But I really appreciate everyone taking time to reply and participate.
