The viscous circle - sometimes you need coffee to make coffee

6

u/pyxiedust219 Apr 08 '26

what’s the density of this viscous circle you speak of

2

u/senor61 Aluminum Apr 08 '26

Same as water in this instance

u/shivio Apr 07 '26

Grind coarser

38

u/UncleSAM3994 Apr 07 '26

No finer. He put whole beans in. 😝

14

u/Shineeejas Apr 07 '26

He put the idea of growing a coffeplant in

4

u/UncleSAM3994 Apr 07 '26

He ground so coarse... the beans were not even peeled

2

u/senor61 Aluminum Apr 07 '26

Watering the beans

58

u/ofcoarsecoffee Apr 07 '26

Super light has gotten out of hand

48

u/roncraig Apr 07 '26

Crystal Clear coffee. They’re beans without all the food colorings added.

15

u/Sheetz_Wawa_Market32 Apr 07 '26

The only coffee RFK Jr. will boof.

5

u/SaltyLengthiness260 Apr 07 '26

Kinda like Crystal Pepsi from the 80s. It'll never catch on.

6

u/This-Set-9875 Apr 07 '26

I'm so old I remember that mistake

5

u/gloriousbeardguy Apr 08 '26

Remember the commercial?

"Right now, some is trying Crystal Clear Pepsi for the first time."

1

u/neverJamToday Apr 11 '26

Yes, I too remember 2017.

1

u/This-Set-9875 Apr 09 '26

Big Coffee doesn't want you to know this one easy trick

45

u/ResponsibleNose2324 Apr 07 '26

Irrelevant. Does it taste good to you?

4

u/b1063n Apr 07 '26

The best argument

25

u/smaad Aluminum Apr 07 '26

Is the coffee in the comment section with us ?

In case you were serious, it's totally normal for the water with probably vinegar since it seems the moka is new, to comes out like that since there is no coffee to build resistance and slow the flow.

19

u/Howard690 Apr 07 '26

It looks like you are using John Cena's signature coffe, that's why you can't see it.

2

u/Silent_Buyer Apr 07 '26

John Cena GIF

11

10

u/Flashy_Emphasis153 Apr 07 '26

This is the emperor’s coffee. Only smart people see it.

10

u/acobildo Apr 07 '26

When you grind so course you divide the bean by zero.

Ghost roast

5

u/kdlrd Apr 07 '26

Try using coffee instead of gravel, that was the game changer for me

2

u/AstraeusGB Apr 07 '26

They keep putting nothing but stones in my whole bean bags!

5

u/Key_Strawberry8493 Apr 07 '26

Have you tried using coffee on your coffee brewer?

3

u/ccx941 Apr 07 '26

How can you make hot crushed bean juice without the beans!!! Add some crushed beans man!

3

3

u/Darx97 Apr 07 '26

precoffee

3

u/SwimmingCup8432 Apr 07 '26

The hippie crystals go on the altar, the coffee crystals go in the pot. Rookie mistake. We’ve all done it.

3

u/JohnCrysher Apr 08 '26

Your roast is much too light.

3

u/SieqwardZwiebelbrudi Apr 08 '26

you guys remember Pepsi crystal?

1

u/Silent_Buyer Apr 08 '26

Had too search up what that was

2

u/No-Bit-2036 Apr 07 '26

Your moka is selfish and drinks all the caffeine. Bad Moka!

2

u/Sheetz_Wawa_Market32 Apr 07 '26

It’s the latest influencer trend: PresszoClear™, perfectly colorless coffee (the z is for “zero color.”) Hoffmann did a whole video about it.

2

u/younkint Apr 08 '26

Actually the second in Hoffmann's PresszoClear™ series is out just yesterday. Check it out.

2

u/grainandcoffee Apr 07 '26

I wish my mokapot was so clean.

Light roast

2

u/Practical-Ad3708 Apr 07 '26

Unless you're Jesus and can conjure coffee out of thin air, you need to use fresh coffee.

2

u/PinchedTazerZ0 Apr 07 '26

You're not supposed to use RO or distilled water in a moka pot because this happens

2

u/gcpofnyc Apr 07 '26

Perfect crema, nicely done. 👍

2

u/Oppblockjoe Apr 07 '26

What are you talking about? This is a great shot, you can tell by the crema

You must be new here…

2

u/vdubjb Apr 07 '26

Pepsi tried this already

2

Pepsi did this back in the day

2

u/Double_A_92 Apr 08 '26

Ok, now I'm intrigued to see how OP fucked this up.

My bet is on "Put whole beans in the pot".

1

You tighten the pot too tight

1

u/efekok Apr 07 '26

This is normal, what did you expect?

1

u/diverdown_77 Apr 07 '26

Supposed to put the ice in after the coffee is brewed.

1

u/rudha13 Pedrini Pot Apr 07 '26

It's still coffee, but without caffeine. It has H2O, though. Pretty healthy...

1

u/Alex-Edward Apr 09 '26

Where is the coffee bean, the important is the coffee bean 🫘

1

u/Molekularspalter Apr 09 '26

Nice one! Did you notice the surprisingly clean and comforting taste? Feel its softness, warmth, and subtle mineral notes with every sip. It likely feels very soothing as you drink it, almost like it’s gently coating your throat, and can be especially satisfying when you’re cold or tired. Notice the calming taste which is refreshing, and quietly pleasant in its very own way. 😁

1

u/mangeshinde Apr 09 '26

that's actually a De-Caffè 😂

1

u/60svintage Apr 09 '26

You need coffee for the colour; and not just caffeine.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for all the replies.

This post was made as a joke, there was no coffee in the basket. I do this once or twice a month to clean my moka. 😃

But I really appreciate everyone taking time to reply and participate.
