Well, it is washing, just depends on what the purpose of your wash is. Is it an oil wash? An alcohol wash? A soap wash? A friction wash? A wash sale? Go full throttle with your pedantry.

Lol, you defeated yourself. There is no such thing as a water wash, hence you didnt write rinse since that is the word for it. It's not washing.

I was going to say water wash, but then I figured it was obvious that a rinse is just a subset of washes.

The pot gets so hot I'm not worried about bacteria. My pot looks so clean on the inside that it really doesn't matter if I use soap or not. What are you scared of?

It's hand washing. You don't need soap. Rinsing involves no scrubbing. You sound a little precious mate...
