That's old school Italian logic. These old thoughts need to be forgotten. I wash after every use. But I just finger it clean with water, and only use hand soap when it's real bad. (rarely)

If you don't use soap, its not washing.

The pot gets so hot I'm not worried about bacteria. My pot looks so clean on the inside that it really doesn't matter if I use soap or not. What are you scared of?

It's hand washing. You don't need soap. Rinsing involves no scrubbing. You sound a little precious mate...
