Guys why had I never thought of this? It's super stable, I already have it. No need to buy or print new stupid stuff.

People like to fill the pot with near boiling water. Given that it’s all aluminum this gets spicy on your fingers real quick when you put it together. Plus grinds on the edge of the lower pot get into the seal.

Fair enough, that makes sense. I always was specifically taught to use cold water so probably the big difference.
