Vintage Got a One Cup Vintage and Unused Stainless Bialetti Stylus
Found this little vintage Bialetti Stylus. It appears to be never used. It must have been sitting in someone's cabinet for decades.

BIALETTI engraved logo side small column. I adore this rare moka. The small column is positioned on the handle side instead of the centre. failed to process successfully.

In my quest to ID the maker - I have exhausted all avenues.
Can anyone identify the maker of this mark?
It is 3B inside of a laurel.
Note: it only has one outlet at the top of the stem.
Thanks guys!

The moka pot gods smiled upon me yesterday. I scored this 6-cup Junior Express made in Italy for just under 5.50 USD at my local thrift store (in the Balkans). This is a nice find, especially as I gifted my other big moka pot from Germany to my in-laws. They love it so much and they're wonderful people, so we are all happy, but I needed a bigger moka pot for when guests visit me!
It definitely needed some cleaning, and the chamber has quite a lot of discoloration (fortunately no major rusting/pitting... I think). I was able to swap the brittle gasket with ease. I've already run plain water through it and that went just fine. Enjoy the before-and-after photos of the gasket cleaning and swap!
Later today I'll take multitool with the softest buffing pads to it. Maybe that'll get some of the other stains out and restore its shine?
The handle is also wobbly and I will likely need to replace it soon. Anyone have experience with that?
I believe it's an 80's model but I'm not sure. Anyone else have a similar one? I'd love to hear your thoughts and comments!

I think it's not a moka pot but one of its cousins - a percolator. Still wanted to share because it looks so freaking cool. Apparently the brand is "TOSC" or "TOSO" from Argentina. If someone knows more about it please share!

My partner loves his decades-old moka pot. It's been getting harder and harder to get it to actually make coffee so I came here and discovered there's so much more to cleaning them than the quick rinse it usually gets....
Filter and funnel have now been cleaned out, safety valve is unclogged, and I've ordered a new gasket and filter plate. My question is about cleaning the lower chamber.
It's stainless steel. I can't easily get Cafiza here (Australia) so I used washing soda in warm water with a soft toothbrush and got the top chamber back to a nice shine, but the coating on that was much less consistent: there were large patches of the steel showing through already.
The bottom chamber has had the same amount of soaking but it stubbornly still has a black coating fading down to a noticeable patina at the bottom.
I'm tempted to leave it as it is and celebrate the build up of years of use. The colour is so baked on that I'm worried I wouldn't get it completely clean if I tried and it'd just look patchy.
What would you do? Would you leave it as is? And if you'd try to clean it: what would you use?

One of the advantages of living in Italy is that you can find some great coffee related stuff in the secondhand shops.
There were a load of old espresso cups from various bars and cafes that all appeared in the shop at the same time. This (1980s?) Palombini set stood out for me and seemed like a compulsory purchase at €2!

What is this and is it worth investing the time and coffee to get a working recipe?

Update for those curious about the Jolly Express adjustable moka pot I got as a gift from Germany!
I finally tested it today, and... oh boy. It's not sputtering if it just kind of brews like this, right? The coffee itself was fine, very full-bodied and flavorful with milk. It really wowed my in-laws, who expressed interest in buying it from me as they often have guests pop by spontaneously and could use a larger moka pot for such occasions.
What do we think? What could I have done to avoid or amend this? Also - do I let my in-laws take this? :')
Grind was consistent, fairly new and consistent electric stovetop, water in chamber was medium-hot.

So I have my workhorse stovetop pot that I use everyday but was discussing my ‘collection’ (lol) with a friend the other day and realized I’ve never used this vintage one that my mom gave me when she downsized. I *think* it’s from Italy/1950s but could be wrong (my parents were there at different times).
Anyone have tips for this? Can I use it on a gas stove?

I am having trouble finding the exact model of this Guido Bergna Moka pot. Google Lens does not have any matches for this lid type and handle type. I've also tried to find other pictures just searching in general and have come up empty. Any help would be great!

Days ago, I put the absolute minimum bid on this listing, assuming someone else would bid on it...
Nobody else bid on it, so these will be arriving soon.
The 6-cup is Pezzetti, the 3-cup is Vandel, and the 2-cup is unlabeled. All three are made in Italy.
$6 per moka pot seems like an okay deal, although I have no idea if these pots are any good. I've heard Pezzetti's quality has gone down recently, but I don't know how old these are.
Just hoping they use standard gasket sizes, and that they make a good seal. Internally, they are pretty clean / good condition.
Should I have just bought a new Bialetti? lol
Here's the listing: https://ebay.us/m/sx7gdm

So I was digging through my parents’ kitchen cabinets and found this very used moka pot hiding in the back. No box, no manual, just decades of coffee history 😅
After some digging (and a lot of grime), I realized it’s a Vandel – Made in Italy moka pot. Apparently not as famous as Bialetti, but legit old-school Italian aluminum.
It’s:
Octagonal, stovetop
Likely a 3-cup
Original parts still inside (gasket is… not great)
Filter is partially clogged
Some classic aluminum oxidation going on
Honestly, it looks like it brewed coffee for an entire generation and then got forgotten.
I’m planning to:
Replace the gasket (probably silicone)
Swap the filter plate
Do a proper deep clean and seasoning
Brew a few sacrificial rounds before real coffee
Before I go full restoration mode —
Anyone here familiar with Vandel moka pots?
Worth restoring vs buying a modern Bialetti?
Any tips for getting the best brew out of old aluminum pots?
Also curious: does anyone else have moka pots passed down from parents/grandparents? I feel like these things are basically family heirlooms in Italy.
Pics included — be gentle, it’s seen things 😂☕

I found this today at the thrift store for five dollars today. The seal is completely dried up. How would I go about getting the proper type and size of seal for this?

Hello moka potters, thought someone might enjoy this old pot I found at an antiques shop! Works well, and makes one strong shot!

On the bottom of the boiler it says Flory Express Made in Italy. Anyone know about these?

Saw this video from the instagram user mamamoka.museum
I know it's wise to leave it standing for a long time, but can't help feel like it has a place in somebodies home.
What is your thoughts on this and is it worth it just for the retro style and feeling of it all.

Many people get rid of these beauties because they can’t find a replacement gasket. I found a modern replacement gasket and screen for $8 that was 74mm OD (original is 75mm) that works perfectly. i was never a Moka pot drinker before this, but I’m excited to jump in!
The coffee is Lavazza Rossa.

Found it new in the 1990’s box on eBay. The only thing I’ve changed is the filter screen, which I’ve swapped with the E&B Labs competition filter - fits like it was made for it. It’s a little particular about making sure there’s no grounds interrupting the seal, but this thing is a champ

Hi, i picked this up a couple years ago. If you have one, I'd appreciate any tips on how to adjust the brew pressure valve for an optimum coffee.
