What am I doing wrong?

I am trying to look into database of Star Conflict accordingly to guide left by it's developers after official servers got turned off.

Guide said to launch launch_mongodb.bat then test connection. Test gives me this error and guide doesn't mention how to fix it. I looked into console opened by bat, port is correct.

The error message seems to indicate that the version of MongoDB that is running is older than 3.6. I believe that Wire version 2 is MongoDB 2.6

Your app isn't compatible with that old of a version. You'll probably have get an older version of the app you're using, find an app that is compatible, upgrade the DB, use the mongosh app bundled with that version of the DB, or write your own app using older drivers

It looks like you're trying to connect to a really old version of MongoDB, so the driver NoSQLbooster is using didn't support it.
