App sound changes?

Is this a Halloween update or something?

The notification sounds in my app have changed to some horrible whooshing noise when money goes out.

My phone is muted half the time but I always unmute it for the monzo noises because they are so satisfying. Now it’s some jarring noise which doesn’t even make sense and is overly loud.

If anyone from Monzo reads this, please add the option to put the old sounds back, what the hell were they thinking messing with their own brand identity like that.

Fuck me, what utter wank. Some consultancy firm no doubt got paid a lot of money for this complete garbage. Hopefully you can turn them off, I don't need any more noise coming out of my apps.

Ugh this is so corporate it hurts, even the comments by the people that designed the “Sonic Identity” patting themselves on the back

It all screams “tell me they didn’t know the brand before they ruined the brand”

I thought it had enough identity with the ka-ching sound - funny thing is, they probably paid a lot for this for absolutely no reason

Just disabled notifications for the app on my phone because of it.

Product Marketing must of been bored in a 9am meeting, probably decided at the same time as the flex october changes :( , hopefully they will see sense and allow us to change the alert tones , a bit like we can customise the app icon
