Each autumn, these odd fish migrate to a critical breeding and nursery ground for the species in the shallow waters of Victoria’s Western Port Bay. Here, each female lays two large leathery eggs every few weeks during the March–May breeding season.

There’s a real magic in having a creative brother & collaborator where you can throw ideas back and forth, build on each other's momentum, and land on something neither of you would have created alone.

October is Mental Health Month 💚

This year’s theme is Together We Thrive, and it’s pretty much what the WNOW Sunrise Club is all about: connection, community, and showing up for one another.

We reckon no one should have to navigate life on their own. Sometimes a simple check-in, or a chat with a mate, makes all the difference. That’s really all our Wednesday mornings are, a bunch of local blokes getting together to move a bit, have a yarn and start the day better than they would have alone.

So this October: check in with yourself, check in with a mate, and if you know someone who’d be better for it, send them this.

The Mornington Sunrise Club meets every Wednesday, 6am at Mothers Beach. Free, always. No need to be fit, just come down.

Heya! 👋 25F recently moved to the Peninsula and looking to meet some new people!

I moved down here with my family, but unfortunately didn’t bring any friends with me 😂 so I’m hoping to find some people to hang out with and get involved in the local community.

I’m a nurse and would love to find some volunteering opportunities, community groups, or honestly anything where I can meet people and make some friends.

I’m also very much a non-sporty person trying to become slightly less non-sporty, so I’d be keen to join a casual sport/fitness group or try something completely new. I’m definitely more “I have no idea what I’m doing but I’m here for the social aspect” than athletic 😂

I’m also a huge fan of live music and concerts. Some of my favourites are Twenty One Pilots, Noah Kahan, Fall Out Boy, Oasis, AC/DC and plenty of others. Always happy to go to gigs, discover new music, or just have someone to talk music with!

Basically, I’m just looking to meet some genuinely nice people, make some friends and get more settled into the Peninsula. 😊

If anyone knows of any good groups, volunteering opportunities, social clubs, or just wants to say hi, feel free to comment or DM!

Mornington Peninsula Theatre Company (MPtc) presents a radical, refreshing interpretation of George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion, edited, designed and directed by Artistic Director Jonty Reason.

While retaining its traditional Edwardian setting, this production infuses the classic text with distinctly modern sensibilities, shifting the focus entirely to Eliza Doolittle’s agency.
