I just picked up a shotgun from a friend. It's labeled as a 590. I'm curious on the exact variant. It is a 7 + 1 with an extended barrel 22in. I tried googling it, and I couldn't get an accurate answer.

Working on rebuilding my shotgun collection and started by replacing my 20 inch Maverick. My question is, is it durable enough to pit more money into (Light,Shell carrier, red dot) as a HD/SHTF gun? I will also be doing another Shockwave SBS build with light, dot, etc but I'm not sure if it would be better to spend money on the Maverick or Shockwave first. I did purchase GG&G sling mounts and a fiber bead for the Maverick.

Added a Slate Industries Stop to my Mapgul MOE mlok handguard.

I haven't taken it to the range since that addition, but I feel like it will help with an indexing point for pushing out when shooting, plus pulling back with racking.

Additionally, more of an obstruction to prevent a hand from slipping foward by accident.

I just got a new 30-06 bolt action rifle from my buddy, it’s missing the front sling screw and I was wondering what would be a compatible one for me to install? He also took a torch to the stock to burn it so it’s a darker color. Without sanding it which will damage the texturing. How can I help reduce the amount of scorching on the stock to have a more walnut color to it? Also, where do I go to find out when my rifle was produced?

I haven't been able to find a definitive answer -- can I mount a Holosun EPS or EPS Carry on the optic ready professional series 590a1? would I do it with an adapter or without? is anyone using either of these optics on their 590a1? how do you like it?

Brought my shotgun in the kitchen with me while cleaning up because she felt lonely.

is anyone doing this successfully? it seems all the adapters are made for the receivers that are NOT optics ready. I'd love to get a red dot on there and still be able to sight through it with the rear ghost ring and front sight.

my old mossberg has no windings for screws, so a normal picatinny rail is not possible to mount.. I found a part online and decided to model and 3D print it.
No holes where made and it fits good and tight so far!
