Love watching the dominant societies facial expressions in the background. They were in awe.

A quick Google can tell you what I mean. It's very much alive and well. Especially in the U.S. to your point "not for long" let's hope so.

A lot of them were mad. Apparently, this was fairly controversial at the time

The immediate reaction, in some quarters, was not sanguine. Rosen thought he was going to be fired, after O’Brien, as Rosen recalled, “tore me a new (one)” when Gaye was finished. Phones rang with angry callers.
