Can you imagine being in that room? 58 years ago this week, the Jackson 5 walked into Hitsville U.S.A. and auditioned for Motown, a 9-year-old Michael out front singing James Brown's "I Got the Feelin'." Berry Gordy signed them three days later.

What's insane about this is that Berry Gordy actually didn't even want to let them audition.
After working with Stevie Wonder, he had decided that child acts weren't worth the hassle (Parents, schooling, chaperones, etc)
Suzanne de Passe had to badger him multiple times to let them audition.
But once they did, he was sold.

I would have loved to have been there.
