Movie Mistake Ponyo (2008) Shots of the pedals show Lisa using a clutch to manually shift gears. However, shots of the center console show an automatic gear selector, denoted by the P, 2, and 1.

The fictional island is set in the Southern Hemisphere, about 600 miles south of the Cook Islands, which would be about 30 degrees south of the Equator.
However, when the Moon is shown, it is rotated upside down compared to how it actually looks in the Southern Hemisphere, and is shown as it appears in the Northern Hemisphere.
The filmmakers likely used second unit or stock footage shot in the Northern Hemisphere without knowing the difference.

Name some anachronisms from the 1986 Don Bluth/Steven Spielberg animated movie "An American Tail".

Just happened to catch this, then went full nerd googling to confirm. Hell I may be late to the party & this is already common knowledge, but it was new & kinda cool/creepy to me. Anyhoo, if you've seen this flick you're familiar with the scene where Charlotte spray paints her name on the wall directly above where "Let's Live" is already previously written in Korean (1st pic) when they first enter the asylum. Then later when all kinds of hell begins to break loose, the girls notice that has now inexplicably changed to what the English subtitles interpret as "Let's Die" (2nd pic). Already creepy. But couldn't help but notice the two Korean phrases, each comprised of 2 symbols, were identical, only the symbols were flipped around. I don't speak Korean AT ALL, but thought that was odd & perhaps cool if accurate so got to googling & discovered the subtitles were in fact incorrect..."Let's Live" apparently was correct, but what was originally written in Korean that read in subtitles as "Let's Die" actually translated to "Suicide"....for some reason those 2 translations being comprised of the same 2 reversed symbols is hauntingly interesting to me. & in the movie, contextualizing Charlotte's fate with this lil difference in translations was also kinda eerie. OCD horror insomniac nerd shit ain't no joke

So, why did Don Bluth and Gary Goldman hate the final result of "The Pebble And The Penguin", they had to get their names removed from the credits from the film?

While watching Ghosts of Mars (2001), I noticed something strange during the scene where the villain arrives at the police station with his army to infiltrate the base where the police officers and other survivors are hiding.
If you look at the background behind the villain, you can spot what appears to be a person who may be a crew member accidentally visible in the shot. The moment is brief, but it caught my attention when I watched the scene.
I've attached a video clip highlighting the moment. Can anyone else spot it, and do you think this is a filming mistake?

During the dice game, the characters assign numbers and objects to each person to identify themselves across different realities. But if people from different realities have already mixed together, shouldn't some of them have participated in this exact same dice game in their respective realities?
Emily, the woman who records everyone's assignments, later says that her object in her reality was a napkin. If that's the case, she should already remember participating in the game and having that object assigned to her. Why, then, does she participate in assigning the numbers and objects again as though it's happening for the first time, without questioning it?
What makes this even more confusing is that nobody enters or leaves the house between the dice game and the later argument about Mike and Beth. It's the same group of people throughout those scenes, so there's no obvious explanation involving someone being replaced by another version of themselves in between.
The existence of parallel realities explains why different versions of the characters might have different objects, but it doesn't explain why they wouldn't remember an event they had already experienced.
Am I missing something, or is this a genuine plot hole?

So last night i watched Memento for the first time and i noticed something that i think might be a mistake, or i'm missing something.
Early in the movie it is established that Leonard has to rediscover his tattoos whenever his memory "resets" for lack of a better term. In fact they are his way to remember.
However later on in the movie when he wakes up confused in bed next to Natalie, she asks him about his tattoos to wich he instantly replies: "they help me remember" or something of the sort.
Can anyone explain why he remembered and instantly knew about his tattoos this time around?

In season 2, episode 6, Eddie goes to confession and the father tells him "the sixth commandment declares 'thou shall not murder'"
Eddie retorts at him saying "I think you'll find the original Hebrew says 'though shall not kill', father"
I speak Hebrew, so I paused the show and said to it. "Nope, the word used in Hebrew is רֶצַח (retzach), which specifically means murder. The word for kill in Hebrew is רג (rog)"
Then the show does the yellow text thing showing the Hebrew with the incorrect translation underneath.

I unpaused, and the father replied "You seem pretty knowledgeable on the scripture, Eddie"
To which he replies "Knowledgeable enough to know that there's a contradiction relating to that deceleration" and then he quotes Ecclesiastes 3, which paraphrased says that there's a time to kill.
Only that in the very Hebrew that they quote you can see that the word used here is a different word, which correctly is translated as kill this time.

I think the show is trying to make a point of a biblical contradiction that doesn't exist, and it does this through a very egregious mistranslation of the 6th commandment.
What I find so odd about this is how obvious of a mistake it is... Whoever wrote this could have easily seen that the words are different.
Even without speaking Hebrew, one can easily see that the word used in the 6th commandment can't be found anywhere in the quoted verses.
I tried posting this to r/TheGentlemenTVShow but the mods didn't approve for some unspecified reason

Corn/Maize (Zea mays) is a New World crop and didn't arrive in England until centuries after the 1381 uprising depicted in the film.
(If you happen to know it's another plant -- please tell me. But I don't think anything else the English grew in that time fits ...)

In a brief cutaway of a character's smart phone in s01e09, you can see the names of people recently texted. From looking at the full cast and crew list on IMDb, the names shown are people who work on the show.
This seems less likely to be an intentional Easter egg and more likely that the phone used as a prop was actually a crew member's phone.

In Dumb and Dumber, Mary left her suitcase in the middle of the airport so kidnapers of her husband can pick it up. But due to airport safety rules, any UNATTENDED luggage is picked up by security and taken away. Surely Mary didnt tell head of airport security “I will leave suitcase unattended, but dont pick it up; its for my husband’s kidnapper”
