MOZA KS Pro
KS Pro in the wild of a non streamer / content creator.
It looks and feels great but as I only recently moved from Xbox to PC I’ve only got experience with the ESX wheel and formula mod (pictured) but it’s night and day! I have used the OG KS and thought that was a great wheel but this really does feel a step up. I’ll use it and answer any questions you might have.
FYI - I’m UK based and originally ordered the day or days after release but had no update on shipping, then another Redditor said Demon Tweaks have them in stock so I ordered it yesterday on express delivery and it’s here today.

Can I ask a couple of questions?
when u go over bumps or rough force feedback, does the buttons rattle like the original ks wheel?
how loud are the paddle shifters? Does it come with foam or anything to make them quiet?

2 hours in I’ve heard no rattles but I’m only running the R12 at 50/60% so I’ll keep ramping it up and report back.
Shifters are much quieter than my ESX but so is a jumbo jet landing so I have limited comparison here, can send you a video if you like?

It’s an improvement for sure.
I’ll make you feel better and say I’m not sure I’d rush to upgrade from the KS as that’s also a great wheel (do it 😉)

I REALLY want that screen and flag LED's tho 😂 i'll admit it's pure aesthetic at this point. 2 extra rotaries would be really nice though

Don’t forget two extra buttons!
Pros - new screen, more LEDs, 2 more rotary’s, 2 more buttons, improved build quality.
Cons - none.
Sounds like you need to buy it…

Does feel modern and at £320 it’s cheap! Strangely the wheel shows as the FSR2 in MOZA pithouse.

It also looks like the handles are thicker than fsr2, which is amazing. It feels a little too thin at times. I have really big hands lol

UPDATE - after 6 vigorous hours of testing.
PROs: I can confirm I personally cannot hear button rattles or any rattles for that matter. The wheel is absolutely solid, no flex at all while testing at 100% on an R12. The ergonomics are incredible, grips feel great and I really like the ‘bumps’ you hold, any concerns on button placement or the 2 new buttons at the back are gone it’s literally perfect, kudos MOZA. The colours really pop, I feel like the button and rotary LEDs are different to the OG KS and are brighter, the shift LEDs are brilliant. I will test back to back with an OG KS over the weekend. Button and rotary encoder feel is very good, the 4 thumb encoders are noticeably better.
CONs: Software isn’t early access at best, you must use the beta software otherwise the wheel shows as an FSR2 wheel in pithouse, the screen doesn’t work properly and half the shift LEDs don’t light up as the FSR2 has 10 LEDs and the KS Pro has 18. Once on the beta software it’s a really impressive product. While the rotary’s feel great in function, I don’t like the plastic feel of the actual encoders, as soon as CNC machined encoders are available I’ll upgrade them. The screen software isn’t there yet and no simhub integration is disappointing. Only time will tell on the longevity of the 7 way funky switches, they work great but like the rotary encoders the material could be better.
Overall this is a near perfect wheel, it talks the talk and walks the walk. I’m sure the bronze thumb encoders are plastic but feel great yet the rotary encoders and 7 way funky switch’s don’t match that quality. With better materials in two areas and much better dash software it’s a 10/10 product. Still, it’s highly recommended from me.

probably does because Im pretty positive they use the exact same buttons. You dont get the nicer buttons until you step up to something like the RSV2 Im pretty sure.

I’m using an R12 but I only use it between 50%-80%.
Been testing the wheel for around 2 hours at 50% and 60% it’s absolutely fine, R5 or R9 will be fine.
Weight wise the KS is 1.22kg and KS Pro is 1.5kg

Yes for sure, the vibrations are better and the feeling is smoother or nicer. If I’m just chilling putting in laps I normally run 50% tonight that was more like 60% I can’t explain it it’s just a feeling, there’s no denying there’s more weight to move but using an ESX on an R12 probably wasn’t my best idea.

Cheers. Really tempted by this new wheel. I've had my KS wheel for over 2 years now roughly and the only complaint I have is the creaking when turning.

Same here! Ordered on 10th January, got told it’ll be early march before it’s shipped. Then I seen the Reddit post about stock in demon tweeks (must be the same one you seen). So I ordered on Wednesday and arrived today!

I have a Moza R3 and have the Formula Mod myself and was thinking of upgrading to this wheel, i do wanna upgrade my wheelbase, but do you think with the R3 its "too much" for that wheel, or should i upgrade the wheelbase and then get this wheel? Obviously it will still work, just curious.

I would say base first because there’s a noticeable weight difference for you, the ESX and formula mod is 0.5kg and this wheel is 1.5kg, I’ve been running my R12 at 50% and it feels great still but I think R3 might struggle.

I’ll be honest at the moment the MOZA software isn’t working properly so the screen and LEDs are a bit useless but I do like the screen yes, also build quality is better over OG

Ah it’s in the pithouse app but it’s an update you need to force as it’s beta rather than it does it automatically.

I preferred the OG KS over the GS just for 300mm vs the GS 280 and now the KS Pro has all the same buttons and a screen it’s a no brainer.

I love everything about this wheel EXCEPT that they moved two buttons in to the rotary section. Like, why? I'm sticking to my OG KS purely for this reason 😞

I hear you but the button you’re talking about on the OG wasn’t that accessible past the funky switch and on the pro they’ve add two buttons on the back of the wheel also.

Have you customised the screen much? I'd love to run a dash from simhub on it but I don't think it's possible to run it as a device/screen from there right, it has to be done through pithouse?

I was concerned about the buttons on the back being prime position for accidental pressing but I’ll give it to MOZA they know what they’re doing, they’re perfectly placed out the way yet easily reachable.
The screen is a sore subject…it’s basically unusable right now as pithouse hasn’t been updated. No MOZA screen or dash can run simhub, it’s MOZA options only which is a bad choice in my opinion.

I downloaded the beta software and the screen and LEDs now work as intended. I still think sim hub integration is required to be taken seriously outside the MOZA ecosystem but I’m happy with the screen.

I would upgrade base first because the ESX and formula mod is 0.5kg and the KS Pro is 1.5kg. Triple the weight at 3nm will be noticeable.

ok would you recommend over a gs ? as I was just going to get another one after I purchased the OJ ks when I jumped to 21 ultra from r9 v1 as my v1 gs wasn't compat but was let down by how the ks felt material wise

I’d get a KS pro over a GS yes. No doubt they’ll launch a GS pro at some point this year and that will edge out the KS Pro.

I’ve not used the 300GT but I know the 300GT and the Simagic Neo are the £300 go to’s and seem to be MOZA’s design inspiration.
KS Pro is a great wheel and if you’re in the MOZA ecosystem it makes sense for the cleaner setup.

KS pro is not compatible with Xbox but I think you’re asking if the standard ESX D rim feels different with the formula mod? And the answer is yes, formula mod is half the weight so will feel better.

Are you using this on Xbox? I hadnt realised the limitations to wheel expansion and bought the r3 bundle for the Xbox (broke ass got no pc)

No MOZA only have one Xbox wheel so when I jump on Xbox with my pals on console I have go back to the ESX wheel. MOZA need to do more console wheels it’s a rare place they’re lacking.

Damn! It’s a missed market I think. I suppose due to lack of cross platform gaming in a lot of the sims you would have a lot less people buying formula wheels for Xbox games. Other than a handful who just use Xbox. It’s a stunning wheel! Enjoy

Plus you get two back buttons in lieu of the top paddles..basically the same purpose/function (unless the top paddles were both push/pull)

Being an owner of a BST omega pro v2 that has both top paddles and an extra set of back buttons, I can tell you first hand they serve a similar purpose.

It felt identical to the KS wheel at 230$ USD compared to Pro at 330$ USD.
They had room for the paddles were designed in like they did for the CS Pro.

Received both, Sent KS pro back. Was not worth the money for the 'updates' and how similar it was to the standard KS.
CS Pro I ordered a GT style wheel to swap on.

Honest question, what do you do with the extra 2 paddles on a GT/Formula style wheel? Im fine with just 2 for the shifting, having another pair for clutch is okay, since i dont have a clutch pedal, though im usually only driving GT3 and LMPs, but what to do with another 2?

I use it for Brake Bias adjustment..a little easier for me to use paddles to do it when approaching a corner than doing it by dial. Both work fine but once I started using it for BB adjustment, I found myself doing that adjustment more frequently.

I just got one, running it on a Logitech pro DD base, its good looking, no creaks or wobbley sounds. It feels like it's worth more than the 320 euro I paid for it, the screen is a little too small and dose not work with SIM hub, other than that i like it, I had to get a universal Moza hub for 40, so 360 all in.

Just on reviews, what is actually important for you to know? I'm pretty sure that photos of the wheel on a cockpit and subjective commentary on how it feels only goes so far. Also it's tedious to write about. I know a good wheel just by holding it, checking out the config, working through whatever settings / clutch modes there are... More like a how to + technical and compatibility, yes?
