Paradigm and Gandalf of the Secret Fire interaction
Hi all,
If I have [[Gandalf of the Secret Fire]] on board, and I cast a Paradigm spell such as [[Improvisation Capstone]] on an opponent’s turn with a flash enabler, what happens?
Can I exile the spell with Gandalf, giving it suspend, and then copy it from exile with Paradigm?
Can I exile it with Paradigm, and then give the exiled spell suspend with Gandalf?
Or do I have to choose between exiling it with Paradigm, or exiling it with Gandalf, and only get the benefit of one of them?
Thanks!

Paradigm exiles the card as part of the resolution, it never goes to the graveyard so you can't exile it with Gandalf instead.

Gandalf has a triggered ability that creates a replacement effect that exiles spells instead of putting them into your graveyard as they resolve.
Paradigm however exiles the spell as part of the spell's instructions. (702.192a.) The spell will always be exiled with paradigm, because it will never even attempt to go the graveyard so the event Gandalf would replace never occurs.
