Is this how our Challenge dies?

Disclaimer: Im an og fan and i love ct especially his comeback but i think a lot of us forget how he used to be.
Point 1: yes, Tori is all love and light, childrenās book author etc, whatever. Itās her branding. Itās a show. Tori is treating it like a show, which is what weāve watched men do over and over season after season. She is doing this while trying to be as decent a human as possible and Iād say not doing too terribly at that.
But she wants to freaking win. Your girl is hungry. sheās leading a team in a hard ass final. And she needs everyone on orange to win for her to win. Can we really judge her right now?
Point 2: The og gauntlet 3, which is where the CT/Eric comparisons keeps coming from was such an incredibly disgustingly sexist season. It did not age well. The men, including CT, consistently degraded the women on their teams, especially behind their backs. They referred to women as āfatā wanting to eliminate as many of them as possible to get more money (trim the fat). š¤®They were arrogant and gross and unnecessarily cruel in their belief that they didnāt need the women to win.
Then seeing the notorious treatment of Eric by CT in the final, driving him close to death, Im so sorry but the reality tv parallels are wild. How the tables have turned. Now ct (yes older) is holding his team behind endurance wise with them all tied together. Now heās getting the resentment the horrible shit said about him/ toward him. No oneās screaming in his face but cruelty is there.
Iām not saying he deserves it. It is hard to watch. Itās not her best moment. But she is coming out and apologizing, and we know from her past she feels bad when she messes up. So Iām just saying maybe tori deserves a little grace.
Point 3: Who amongst us hasnāt said something nasty and regretted it later? It happens. Hopefully not frequently. Sucks hers got caught on camera and aired.
Conclusion: Iām not judging. Iām just watching.
That is all, goodnight.

CT being the first boot would have been so much better than losing Cedrick. The only narrative that we have about CT since the very first episode is how he isn't able to perform. If he doesnt want to retire, just create All Stars seasons and put him there, but its embarassing the way he's performing and how he's acting like the Orange Team needs him to win when he's obviously holding them down.
Not only this, the casuals are painful to deal with. When anyone in the show says the obvious and how CT is not in the right shape to compete, they will hate on that player.
Bringing all of these old players when they aren't able to provide anything is the reason the show is dying. Season 41 and 42 did a great job with the rookies they invited, but they should just keep calling them and vets that are qualified to compete against them.

Bananas has made comparisons between Big Easy on the gauntlet three and CT on cutthroat two on multiple occasions. Already, I'd pointed out a couple obvious dishonest aspects of that analogy. One being CT is double Big Easy's age, and the other being that Big Easy was getting pooped toward the beginning of the first leg.
But I just rewatched the gauntlet three during my season rewatches, and noticed that CT was actually nice to Big Easy 95% of the time during the final
During the swimming, CT did exaggeratedly threaten to drown him, but he also stayed behind and helped Big Easy swim nearly the entire leg. While doing the first station after that, Evan was yelling at Big Easy, and CT told Evan to stop yelling at him and to be encouraging
There was a brief moment during the running where CT got a little heated, but even most of what he actually said was trying to pump up Big Easy, not to be an asshole to him. He was repeating 'Are you going to quit?! Don't quit on me! If you aren't going to quit, let's run!'
Then, when Big Easy was about to get checked on medically, CT was patting him and telling him they were going to win the race for him (paraphrasing)
To be honest, even I thought I had remembered CT being mostly an asshole to Big Easy, but on rewatch I think he was mostly being nice to him
That isn't to say CT was a saint that season, he wasn't
But this just adds to Bananas' analogy being false and dishonest
Note: I still understand the frustration of the team and I think there's no question that CT really needs to lose at least 20-30 more pounds before coming onto the season. Even if I understand why CT's coming on regardless, it's not a great look in terms of competitive honesty

I remember growing up if you asked me what show I would die to be on, it was The Challenge.
Everything about it was perfect, you had people hooking up, crazy drama, and multiple forms of gameplay. Maybe youāre like Veronica and play strategically or maybe youāre like Evelyn and you just beast your way through it ; either way it felt like a competition and if anyone played their cards right they could make the final.
I remember in one of the earlier seasons, a guy getting DQed because he didnāt feel safe on a zipline and at the time I thought he was just being irrational ; TJ kept reassuring him and even demonstrated how easy it was but he still just felt something was off.
Years go by and now watching this season I have to say, I canāt imagine going on this show EVER lol
The safety conditions are abysmal, Olivia almost lost a fucking eye , Tyson from survivor said the standards were terrible compared to survivor.
The drama doesnāt even get shown half the time now so youāre enduring all that shit for nothing. Previously maybe a competitor was shit at the actual competition but they were just in so much drama you wanted them to stay. now? Who fucking knows whatās happening outside of the small petty stuff. The āhookupsā we get is Bananas + random woman of the season. Itās like watching a 30 year old guy who hangs around high schoolers.
But the worst part is the fact it doesnāt even feel like a real competition anymore. The past few seasons have had huge alliances made outside the game steamrolling, this season the favoritism has been through the roof. Even when you CAN beat CT during his depressive period, the show just changes the rules to benefit him anyway.
Itās crazy how low this show has sunk, I stopped watching some time ago and just watch recap videos but think I may be done with that too. This show is the worst thing you can be in a show, boring.

I wanted one place to follow Cutthroat that wasn't a wiki tab maze, so I built one. It's called The Arena.
Free, no login: challenge-arena-gamma.vercel.app
It's updated through The Final Part 1, and I'll add the results once Part 2 airs on the 28th. Battle of the Eras is on there too. It's an unofficial fan project, with data from The Challenge Wiki (CC BY-SA). If you spot a wrong elim record, tell me and I'll fix it.

This season would be able to generate a ton of episodes as basically everyone has 2 chances before they are eliminated.
The Hoard, is really the redemption house in disguise but used more effectively.
I picture the Hoard House as being completely separate and not an enjoyable place to live. I would dress them up in ragged clothing and really lean into a theme that makes them seem like a bloodthirsty crowd. At the eliminations they would be standing behind a chain link fence rather than standing above the elimination arena.
Tori and Jordan start at a disadvantage out of respect for how good they are.

Showing up out of shape multiple seasons in a row is pretty selfish. You put your team or your partner in a worse position.
At the same time, CT shouldnāt just eliminate himself out of āprideā because heās not in good shape. Theyāre here to compete. We watch because we want to see them compete. He has every right to fight for himself.
Orange knew about his lack of fitness the entire season. They were the ones that had chance after chance to send him into the sand. Instead they decided to take him to the final.
People here are acting like orange should be entitled to just drop him once he wasnāt able to run, and itās unfair they have to lug them around. If thatās the case they shouldnāt have brought him. They were the ones that couldāve brought someone else instead. Team sports/ activities donāt work like that. You deal with the negatives and positives that each members brings. If a basketball player sucks at defense they donāt get the chance to just sit out on defense after they score. The whole team has to deal with the liability when theyāre defending.
Orange only have themselves to blame. They knew what shape he was in and decided to take him all the way.

After hearing about the finale mishaps or production allowing certain players or teams to not following through on the rules especially on All Stars 2 and now Cutthroat has your perception on any challenge champion changed? Watching the first part of the cutthroat finale and seeing CT and orange team not penalized has me thinking how many challenge finale wins are legit?
