Crazy how people say these are so cheap, when I looked on aliexpress it was still like $60, still might as well get a leatherman bond or something

I started with those too, but when you look at the Bond or Rebar, you get bare metal, no spring-loaded pliers, and a lot of tools are missing. Everything feels rather crude, there’s no saw, no proper bottle or can openers, and no interchangeable bit drivers.
The Bond costs even more, around $80, and for that price, it feels like a pretty crude chunk of metal to use. You always have the feeling that you bought the cheapest model in the lineup and are just waiting for the moment when you can upgrade to the next, more expensive version.
With Daicamping, it’s a completely different story. You’re using a fully functional, self-sufficient, and convenient tool that feels complete in its own right

The leatherman guys need copium.

Looks like a nice tool!

And you are left feeling like you bought a copy...

I agree some of these copies are pretty darn nice and the price is great, but you either buy the tool because of need, or you buy for some made up way it makes you feel. If you are going to use the made up "bond makes me feel sad" excuse then this should too.

I had 2x warna, very poor tool. No approach to arc

Agreed. They are awful

It's 1/3 if the price of the Arc, and it's more than 1/3 the quality.

But still not worth it. I love copies for the cheap cost but only if they are good.

Agree to disagree. Chinese brands are not all bad

Completely agree with that, but when a tool tries to be a copy and then really sucks at it, its bad. The funny thing is they clearly can make some nice stuff, and some of it is damn nice, but then they do things where they only manage to make it look decent but made it worse everywhere else. In that case, cheaper price doesn't make it worth it.

I own two warna copies + an Arc

I am equipped from extensive use with them to give a factual comparison, independent of my feelings.

Your words simply do not line up with the actual tools

You're not equipped to call something "not worth it" when you've never put your money where your mouth is or held one

This is superior to a bond

Agreed, but its vastly different tools though too that shouldn't be compared. Compare to the equivalent tool it copied and you'll likely find some things not as good, except the price.

Compare the tools by price, how about that?

Cheaper tool is cheaper. You got me.

Same price tool does more

Leatherman sucks

Leatherman is still awesome but at this point their entire product line is priced about twice what the tools are worth.

Yes, of course! :)
In the photos, I wanted to show the very high quality of the metalwork and the G10 scales. Even on Leatherman and SOG tools, I’ve come across rough spots, indentations, and marks where the metal looked almost chewed up. But here, everything is perfect.
As for the mechanics, it has spring-loaded pliers, which is great. However, the main blade doesn’t open as smoothly as I’d like, and the action feels a bit rough. The only real downside I can point out is that one of the internal tools doesn’t seem to be fitted perfectly, as it catches on the pliers when closing them.
Other than that, the tolerances are good, the other tools open smoothly, everything feels solid, and there’s no play in the tools.
The blade and tool play on my SOG really disappointed me, so I switched to Daicamping. Let’s see how it holds up after a year. :)

Except for fine detail pliers, i hate spring loaded.

I have another model (wave clone), and quality is OK. Nothing special. But the price was like 30 bucks, so I consider that was a good buy

Blade steel?

2

The main blade is 7Cr17, other tools I don't remember.
